We considered that in my last job and our customer base was around half a million. Ankama have a customer base of around 4 million, plus minus a few hundred thousands. You'd have to employ a few people to do just that, nothing else, all day long. Not feasible by any means ... unfortunately. It'd also be very difficult to set criteria because botters will adapt. Problem really is that there are people who buy kamas and P2P codes in the game. If there were none of them, there would not be a bot problem because it is a financial venture.

The clientèle has changed dramatically. A few years back you had people play the game who were prepared to make an effort. Now, with Dofus being higher profile and wider known, you see loads of people playing that have no interest in doing the hard miles. They just want everything the easy way. As a result you see more and more kama sites pop out of nowhere and people go there to buy kamas or p2p or accounts. At the same time you see more and more people buying p2p inside the game. These people are the scum we have to live with, that make the game less enjoyable for the rest of us. Essentially, Ankama don't need to go against the kama sellers. They need to go harshly against the rule-breaking players. Because if there is no market (= buyer), there won't be kama sellers, as they can't make a living off it.
