trying to mage hammer sheys and similar
wondering has anyone else had a similar experience trying to mage a weapon like hammer sheys on the new system
it took me 4 pots to get fire mage so stats had dropped a bit and I wanted to mage it better, but in the first 4 Ra runes 2 worked, and 2 didnt work properly (not fail, just not properly) the two not properly did so much damage to the other stats that it took a Ra on each of the other two to try fix them again, of course the last one failed, it was Ra Sa and took 70ish vit and 20 int off, and from there each rune that worked did more damage to the other stats than it added and one fail took off over 100 vit... I'm just wondering has anyone else experienced this with the new system, its made it impossible to get even the lowest stats you can roll onto the hammer again and a single fail now needs a min of 6 Ra runes to fix is it just me that sees this as harsh? |

For fixing up stats, Pa runes seem to work a lot better. I usually apply a ton of Pa runes and only at the very end a Ra. Maging an item with only Ra runes is bound to be a pain with the new system. Having said all that, the new system actually does make it easier to get items back to perfect or near perfect stats. It just takes a lot of patience and runes.
Runes have different power. Do not leave Wisdom for last because it has significantly higher power than Intel or Vitality. The way I'd approach that hammer is getting all stats into their normal range using Pa runes. Then mage Vitality up to a decent value, then add Wisdom and finish off with Intel. You might have to fix up Vitality again after that. Both, Intel and Vitality runes have the same low power. So between those the order does not matter. It is just advisable to mage Vitality first because the end value is a lot higher. |

I am glad to hear you sorted it out. I did a similar thing with a Stephammer for one of my Enis the other week. It was sold VERY cheap, fire-maged but with terrible stats. Now it has very lovely stats and my Eni is happy.
