Just about every class has something they can throw against it.
- Iop, Feca, Xelor, Eca have some kind of teleportation spell to close in - Eni, Panda, Enu can unbewitch themselves (will take level 54 for Panda) - Srams can go invisible for more MP, cast Double to lock or block Cra - Sadidas, Osas can summon stuff - Sacs have attraction and teleportation spells of sorts The only time a class would be really in a bit of trouble through Bat's Eye would be a case of PvP at very low levels. Sure, some people do but then again, each class has certain spells at very low levels that others simply cannot counter, be it high damage dealing, damage preventing, great range ... Cras are probably going to lose some of their power again in future but you can't talk about abuse. The trouble with this so-called 'class balancing' is that Ankama always use the sledgehammer; instead of changing one thing at a time, they change half a dozen. |

Plus they're almost certainly going to adjust each class; they've done sacs, osas & cras now. It'd make sense to wait for them to be done with all the classes before complaining about imbalances.
(And for what it's worth, isn't bamboo milk at level 48? I'm pretty sure 54 is melancholy). This post has been edited by GenericNickname: 19 Oct 2009, 17:17 |

IMO, it's incredibly unfair. I mean if the range rape were toned down a little, that would be good, but it's not just Cha cras using it, it's str cras that deal out thousands of HP damage in melee that use Bat's Eye at level one and can still rape 6 range, basically making my main damage dealer (SoI) useless. I recommend a healthy dose of -1 range at level 1, -5 range at level 5, just like it used to be.
EDIT: Will you guys please stop insulting eachother. We are trying to have a level conversation/debate about this matter, and you're more or less ruining the topic by taking it waaaay out of context. Smeezus how spag are you? "YOU ARE CALLING ONE OF MY SPELL OVERPOWERED?! I WILL NOW FLAME YOU WITH INSULTS!" It's called cooling off, go do it. I'M GLAD SOME1 THINKS THE SAME.
Cra's are to overpowerd since nearlly everyspell and wep in the game uses range and its unfair due to the fact that -5 RA is as bit to much i would under stand -3 RA but not -5 RA |

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Cras have huge range so they can get people from miles away. Thats a massive advantage, but taking away other people's range to the extent that they only have 1 or 2 left is just stupid. No other classes can really hope to compete with that, unless your an intel iop and they are overpowered too.

That's just because you mutilated your character to take advantage of ONE spell. No matter how lovely Vampiric Word is, it is far from good enough to centre an entire build around it. Besides, you are an Eni, you can heal, can't you? Hmm, maybe if you wasted your characteristic points on Chance you can't heal. In that case, why choose an Eni and not an Enu or Panda for Chance? Chance Enis have an advantage over classes where Intel Enis struggle. But like everything in life, each advantage comes with a disadvantage. I am sure Iops consider Chance Enis terribly over-powered also. Just imagine a healer class that ALSO does considerable steal damage? Not only can you heal yourself, you also steal HP while dealing damage. |

As a side note to that, wasn't vampiric word actually a fire spell long ago?

Chance cras.
how to beat a chance cra? im thinkin low level PvP here currently.. Stay close to them, with a fair amount of wisdom you can avoid pretty much every mp steal and since Atonement arrow requires 8-10 range (very heavy) and is the only decent damaging spell that is chance (untill 80) its good that they get a way to avoid taking damage and making people think about their actions instead of relying on pure range to beat them |

As a side note to that, wasn't vampiric word actually a fire spell long ago? It used to be fire damage but that was just way too powerful. I used to use it to level at Rats way back and it made them a cake walk. Nobody would bother levelling Forbidden Word even though it was non-linear. The change to Water was somewhat meh but justified. |
