Frequently Asked Questions Frequently Asked Questions:

-Where can I find the Dofus Terms and Conditions?

The Terms and Conditions can be found here. All players must read and follow the Terms and Conditions.

-Where can I find information about the latest updates, events and other Dofus happenings?

The Dofus community site can be found here.

-Where can I find basic information about quests/classes/monsters/items etc?

The game guide on the community site has much of this information. The Dofus Wiki is a player-assembled database that can answer many questions. Please check these resources before asking a question on the forums.

-Can I share, sell or give away my account?

No. If you lend, share or buy an account, support will not give back items that are stolen, and the account may be permanently closed.

-Is there an IRC room where I can chat with other Dofus players in real time?

The server is irc.ircube.org, port 6667. The English-language channel is #dofus-world.

-Who are the game staff and what do they do?

This information is available here.

-I hear players talking about f2p and p2p. What do these terms mean?

These are slang terms to describe non-subscribers and subscribers to the game. The non-subscription mode is intended as a game trial, and subscribers have access to many more features than non-subscribers, as described here. Note: requests for more content for non-subscribers should only be posted in this thread.

-I see players selling audio codes that give subscription time in the game. Is this allowed?

Subscription time can only be purchased directly from Ankama Games. The audio codes players “sell” in the game are simply scams to take your money. Do not buy these.

-I see “bots”, players using automatic programs play the game. Are these allowed?

Using bots is against the rules and subject to sanctions. Often, these are used by companies to gain kamas quickly for resale, an activity called “kama farming.” Buying or selling kamas or other game items is against the rules. Ankama Games knows about these activities and is actively trying to combat them, as described in this thread.

-I have been banned from the game! What happened?

When you try to log in, you will see a pop up with a message about the ban. You can compare the reason there with the list of reasons for more information. You may also receive an e-mail stating the reason for the ban (check your spam folder as well!) To see the reason for your ban, you can log into the Manage My Account page.

-I want to report another player who is breaking the rules. Where can I do this?

You should post in the Contact a Moderator thread. Please read the forum rules and the rules for that thread before posting.

- I sent a ticket in a while ago, but there's been no answer. Why?

Support answers tickets from 9 am to 6 pm GMT-1 Monday through Friday only. Sending tickets to the wrong section or tickets which are unclear because of poor spelling and grammar are the two main causes of support delays. In addition, if you “bump” your ticket, it goes to the end of the line (the oldest tickets are answered first.)

- Something in the game is not displaying properly.

Clearing the game's cache should always be your first step in dealing with game problems. To do this, click the orange wrench in the top right corner of the game window, and choose “Clear Cache”. This simple task fixes these problems most of the time. If the persists after you clear your cache, send in a ticket to support.

- When I try to log in, I get a message saying the server is under maintenance. What does this mean?

Regularly scheduled game maintenances occur Tuesday mornings between 7am-9am GMT+1. In addition, the game databases are backed up several times a day, blocking access for a few minutes. Finally, occasional unscheduled down time can occur due to problems with the servers. For more information, see this thread this thread.

- How can I avoid getting scammed in game?

Please read this thread, which discusses common scams.
