An Important Question for the UK Community
Hello Shika-ites!
As some of you may have heard, I'm Izmar, the new UK and International community manager. One of the first tasks I've been given is to ask the UK community a very important question. Do you want to join forum forces with the International community by merging the UK and International forums? Let's use this topic to discuss the idea, get out all the pros and cons, and come to a decision as a community. I really want to hear your thoughts on the matter. It's your community, so this is up to you! Of course, they know about Imps Village and a number of them even have accounts there, Izmar included.
The one thing that I really like about this tiny forum here is that all the crap, excuse my language, we see on the international and Imps village forums that you so correctly name 'drama' is completely missing. Flame here are very short-lived and it simply doesn't happen that the same people keep picking on the same people or groups respectively. I do believe it'd be wise to merge the forums but I am really not looking forward to seeing this 'drama' in yet another forum that I read. |

 It seems as if the community is pretty much evenly split on this. Seeing as how Imps provides sections per server, would it not be possible for the Dofus ppl to do the same for the international community as well? Thus having sections for Shika, Rosal, Rusha, and Solar all on one forum.Ahem upon rereading original post  If the merge does happen, each server will get its own discussion area. =) Am i correct in thinking this is what the Admin ment?

Yeah merge them. As it is, I rarely look at either. This one's too quiet, the other has too many brats.
We need more than 1 subforum though. I'd basically copy the entire Imps structure for individual servers, plus we need "Contact a mod" somewhere. Then ask for a few volunteers to nominate threads to transfer across. As regards flame wars, mods should clamp down on those about 5x more than they have been doing. 3 day ban if you break the rules, a week 2nd time, a month 3rd time etc. |

Well if we got our own little area just for Shika I dont see a problem with merging.

I see that as of Nov 6, 09 they have started a Server section on the international server.
Guess we know were we are heading.

I completely left Rosal and therefore it's international community, for Shika and Shika's forum, and now you want to merge it? HELL no :/ Izmar, first bad idea

Haha I didn't notice, as I don't usually read the international forum. However, it has been long overdue to create such server sections in any case. Though you are probably right that this will lead to a merge. I can't blame them for it, though. |

Actually, I'm against the merge if it'll mean we'll be stuck with the american flag as the forum community icon.

It seems like there's not a clear majority for the merger, so I'm not really inclined to make this change at the moment. I think we can give this poll one more week, to make it an even month of thought and discussion, but if there's not a radical change in public opinion by then, we'll leave the forums separate.
I hope you'll let me know if you start to feel differently, though! =) |

Out of interest, how does the international community think about us getting our own forums while Rushu, Rosal and Solar are stuck together? I mean, they are a different community to us (international vs. specifically UK) so it makes sense, but I'm just curious.
