[Quest] Endangered Beer
1. When you first meet Han Reddun he asks you a question with a space between his last word and the question mark. (Sorry for no direct quote, I accidentally passed this part in the quest...)
2. After beating the two ??? Han Reddun says something along the lines of "Well, it that wasn't..." when it would have made more sense if he has used the word "if." (Again, sorry for no direct quote, passed the text.) 3. After you "Negotiate a solution" Han Reddun says, "Who do you think you are? I 'm..." with an extra space between. 4. Tek Abir's joke at the end of the quest might be more clear as "What?! That's a RIP-OFF! Humm, well, why not add some water into their beer then?" Thanks for the work you put into this, HarvestPale. It really helps the atmosphere a lot when NPCs make sense. |

Who is Han Reddun? Is that Soun Rinos? Is this another name change we haven't been told about...? HarvestPale, what name changes have happened in 1.29 that we haven't been officially informed of?

Hi ThePurpleAvenger,
I've removed the two spaces you mention, thanks for pointing them out, and with regards Tek Abir's "joke", I had a look at the translation and it was quite far from the original French, so I've corrected it. Hopefully it'll make a little more sense now. I'm not sure about the message you're getting after you've beaten the ???. When I look at the text, I get "Well, it wasn't the best fight I've ever seen, but you did well, I suppose. I'm the boss. What do you want?", which seems OK to me. If that's not the bit of text you mean, please let me know. QUOTE Thanks for the work you put into this, HarvestPale. It really helps the atmosphere a lot when NPCs make sense. You're very welcome, and thanks for the feedback.@Oamoka, I've been trying hard to keep this post up to date with any name changes. Soun Rinos comes from the French word sournois - meaning sly, sneaky, or underhand. I think you yourself pointed out that a lot of the NPC names still haven't been localised, which is why Soun Rinos is now Han Reddun - an anagram of underhand. Obviously in this case I forgot to update the post, an oversight on my part. Please accept my apologies. I'll update it now. Incidentally, a lot of these rogue spaces come from the French language versions of Word and Excel, which have an annoying habit of automatically recognising the language you're working in, and "correcting" punctuation accordingly. In French, they'll happily put spaces between words and punctuation, usually when your back is turned. I'll make sure we keep an eye on the pesky software in future.
