High level and Epic level players - Take a look. I won't be surprised if this topic actually get deleted. It's not the nicest one but it is the truth.

I'm not an Ankama-basher. Infact I've held a great deal of respect for this company during the years. Afterall, I've been playing dofus since 2005.
1½ years ago I hit level 200 on my ecaflip, one of the first level 200's ever. The more I've kept playing the more I've noticed the lack of content for players at my own level.
It's been 1½ year old without any "real" content. Ok, the challanges we got are nice but you can't exactly call that content.
What has kept me playing you ask? My friends and my guild. All in all, the community - which brings me to this point:

As the leader of an epic level guild (Blank for those who are intrested) I've noticed the huge lack of respect people are starting to get for ankama.

  • Those of us who multiclient get limited to 5 accounts. We can't log more unless we have static ip's. Something that costs alot of money for us to get. We get no refunds for the money we spent on subscribing our accounts - hell, we don't even get a "sorry". It takes a few months, the restriction gets lifted and we can play again. We subscribe our accounts and as soon we do - we get restricted again. It's pretty clear that Ankama is doing this to take our money, nothing else. We've asked millions of times for explanations both in tickets and topics HERE AT THEESE FORUMS. We get nothing.
  • We get another update with no content.
  • They change the whole game mechanics.
  • We all know that Ankama Devolopers will realize some of theese changes aren't any good so they will nerf and buff once again.

Basicly - you learn the game and you finished it. All you do is waiting for new content so you can keep playing. Ankama comes marchin in and say "hey, grats - you'll have to start over from square 1". This is no joke, because the changes made in this upcoming update will require new sets for most of our characters, we will have to learn how to play in different groups and how to avoid getting killed.

I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering quitting together with 32 other people (over 80 accounts) from my guild.
We are waiting for the promised "Dofus 2.0" and the "Ice Continent" which should have been out last year and this is what you give us? Is this a bad joke?
We don't wan't to learn how to play the game from the beggining. We like Dofus as it is but we lack content. New monsters, new gears, new areas, new graphics.

Instead of encouraging your old time players to keep playing and get your self a good rumour and more customers from us - you chase us away. Start showing us some god d#mn respect. Stop ignoring us - WE ARE THE GAME!!

I'm fully aware that this is a golden update for many of you lower level players, thats great! In all honesty. But what about us? We are customers too, and lojal customers as well!
Spending years to achieve something that you simply take away from us is pure nonsense and stupidity.

I'm losing my friends, I'm losing a great amount of members from my guild, I have to learn how to play all over again and I have to regear my characters. This was not why I started playing dofus or why I kept playing for so long.

I feel betraid and robbed of my money.

What about you? Do you have the balls to say what you actually think?

/youbutsu 200 eca, ilookgoodinbora 200 cra, tanig 200 sac, arg 200 eni, mesoh-rny 200 enu, reduxxx 199 panda and slampig 19x iop.

I am a low level, (46) but, im still an old player in away. I go back 3 years with dofus, I didn't play it back then, but I used to play with my bros. Dofus has changed very much since then, I am starting to lose the spirt. Im scared of 2.0, I don't want to have to quit dofus, because everyone else is. and I dont want the game to look like... THAT

QUOTE (Blazeron @ 28 Aug 2009, 13:19) *
No, they're not giving them cookies. They are giving them bio rice waffles - enough to keep em alive, but it isn't really tasty at all.

I completely agree with the topic. It's nice to see that i'm not the only one with the problem, and it's nice to see that ankama's recent change of priorities is getting resistance. However, it also hurts to see how much effort is being put in this, considering it's all a big waste. And i'm not just talking about myself, youb probably spent hundreds of hours doing this, too, and everyone else also spent a good amount of time staying up for their rights. And look what happens? No dev is even reading this at all, it will just rot away after a while like everything else here. It's like killerfurby said: if it isn't in french, you can forget it.

And take a look at these forums. I think all the people here spent thousands of hours trying to tell ankama something. Also, consider that i would be way more if the mods wouldn't delete every 2nd topic because it was against ankama's opinion. I think we all spent a lot of heart's blood trying to make ankama fix the game, so there's a reason for us to continue playing. I know, i promised to never lose hope in this issue, but it's not looking good at all. PvM is being ruined, high level players are left without any content, our community is being ignored completely.

After wasting hundreds of hours on the forums here and thousands of hours in the actual game, i kind of don't know what's left to say about it. Actually, i doesn't even matter - i could point out how much it sucks for us high level players for the billionth time, or i could just post nothing at all, it doesn't even matter at all, because my french sucks.

It's not just not coming closer. Actually, it moved away even farther. While there used to be hope that it would be released somewhen, we now know that nothing is gonna happen before dofus 2.0, which won't be out in at least a year.

A drunk youb here x).
Don't remember the pass to my ecas account (medgix) right now.
First of all: I'm no longer playing. I havent played since I made my good bye topic actually. I'm still lurking around Blanks guildforum (I'm no longer the leader) and thats whats brought me back here in a way. I'm awaiting an answer from someone in my mailbox that will determine a change for 150 customers of Ankama. Thats the only thing keeping me around 1 hour per week. Got no more to say, really. Hope you accept that!

This topic has gotten way out of hand, but I appreciate those who still stick at it as you, Blazeron (late reply but what the hell tongue.gif).
I didn't make this topic to attack Ankama. I made it because we needed to get their attention, and no other way seemed to be working. I'm not afraid to get banned or sanctioned. I'm done with the game, therefor a ban wouldn't harm me. Thats why I chosed to step up and speak freely. Still, I won't deny I was angry and irrational.
I spent 100's of hours complaining and thinking about how to solve the issue. Then I contacted an allied guild from Jiva server (Mugen-Kumi). As the leader I was, I thought it would be wise to try and get some sort of mutual agreement with a guild from another French server to get some inside information and also get a peek into updates before many other international players (god I must have missed a comma or two in that longass sentence). I was getting translations of modifications several hours before our community did thanks to those people. They were also getting ingame tips from Blank. Rushu has evolved faster then Jiva and we have an equal amount of "dofus knowledge" to share. Rushu got technology and Jiva got experience.
Members of that guild translated my issue (with major faults... but still understandable and also it got corrected) over at Jeuxonline (French dofus forum) and it got some extreme response from the French community. Some good, some bad. If I remember it right, it was close to 40 pages of response to this particular topic.
Anyway, Sylfaen (French CCM/Admin), Lichen (Developer/admin/CCM) and Nabolo (Spanish CCM/Admin) got noticed of the topic. They responded with answering over at JoL, at Imps Village and even here at this forums with creating the section "Talk with the Dofus Team" and assigning our temporary CCM, Nabolo. We also got the new kickass translator Harvestpale (dude change nick, seriously!). Harvestpale had nothing to do with me though. They were recruiting him before I made this topic but it passed my eyes and I made a mistake by thinking otherwise. Believe me, you couldn't have gotten a more devoted translator then this wink.gif.

I didn't lie when I wrote about how many members Blank was losing. They all quit actually. Even I got tired and quit. Many loved members such as Devilix deleted their level 200 characters (which was fully geared) to make sure they wouldn't come back. Can't blame us, can you? Still there's nothing for us to do. Blank got new members and the guild is full again. Still it's a loss for the server, the community and also Ankama. They were too slow but they are aware.

However...
They are recruiting a new Community Manager. There is no one in training, because the one they had in mind wasn't allowed to stay in the country. If you have the age, are mature, got some sort of experience, are native French/Canadian etc and speak good English - go apply god damnit.
There is a new kickass translator who even takes the time to respond to every single "translating post" here at forums. NEVER during my 4 years of playing I've seen such devotion from an official Ankama employee. Kaoly and Echt were also both great in my eyes, so don't forget about them.
Dofus 2.0 is coming out December 2. There is no possible way that Ankama will miss that deadline since they've gone public with it. It would simply hurt them too much. In other words, don't worry about it. This time you can definitive trust them.
After Dofus 2.0 they are focusing 100% on Ice Continent which they also has gone public with.
New content is coming. They know they are late and many players will quit waiting and decide to move on. Still, they are working on what the players of the communities are asking for.

About this forum:
It's ridiculous. 90% of the content here puts a huge smile on my face. So many of you have no idea what you're talking about - yet you try to act clever and have the moderators clean up your mess.
Use the damn search function, don't answer topics with irrelevant crap, don't give out false and made up information/tips/ideas and stop questioning Ankamas work. They ARE working on making it better.

Good luck with the new client everyone, and I hope most of you stick around to see what the new content will be like. Afterall, Dofus has its own charm and even with 2.0 it still will.

Heads up to Blaz wink.gif.

/youb
