Hated spell animations
Pandawa:
Explosive Flask : Pulls a bubble out of the ground A BUBBLE! for a fire spell. I haven't seen much outside my own class (Feca of course) but at the moment I'm pleasantly surprised by how awesome most of the spell animations seem to be. Teleportation seems a little off, but maybe that's just because it plays out much faster than other spells appear to; also it's really in need of a "swish" or "zap" sound effect, though of course we don't have sound yet.
The biggest problems I have with animations at the moment look more like features which haven't been implemented yet or are glitches, anyway. Feca shield lightshows appearing behind the character instead of in front, for example, or things like Moon Hammer and every mounted spell not having proper animations, etc. Edit: Oh, and if we're talking about problems, getting hit by any glyph seems to cause enemies to freeze for the duration of their turn. the new sadida summoning spell is pretty bad, also busfire, looking like bubble+cloudy, not original. All the dollies are cute though.

Okay, no, I hate most of the skill animations. A few (wand, dagger I guess) are okay, but staff is just terrible. D:

Like, every cra spell... They could've just remade the animations with the new graphic language, it would be 100% better. Lemme start:
Magic Arrow: Okay, I don't know why you guys made the cra shoot the arrow up, but it's lame, I used to like all cra spells but now they suck. Burning Arrow: WTF?? It was so hax with that line of fire, now it's lame. Frozen Arrow: From the moment the arrow hits the target, it's pretty nice, but when the cra is shooting, again, it looks lame. Atonement Arrow: WHY?! WHY?! Why the freak is there a BEE?! Poisoned Arrow: Okay, it's a poisoned arrow, and the cra don't even shoot, the MAGIC ARROWS (they appear from nowhere, maybe from the heavens) just rain on the poor target, again, lame. Abs. Arrow: Haven't seen it yet, but my friend described it to me, and it's lame once more. The buffs are okay, but the other spells just sucks D:... Pandawas: Hangover: It's pretty sucky, the pandawa gives a headbut and some wine glasses just falls on the target 'o'... Explosive Flask: Ally just said it all, it's lame. Alcoholic Breath: Another lame animation... Other than that, all the spells I saw are nice... |

Pandawas: Hangover: It's pretty sucky, the pandawa gives a headbut and some wine glasses just falls on the target 'o'... You should have been around to see hangover before they changed it. Panda flapped her wings like a chicken trying to fly and then the wine glasses fell down. I am disgusted with the explosive flask animation its tacky why a bubble? and why kegs for a spell called explosive flask. Make it a straight up molotov cocktail or an actual flaming flask but kegs is just stupid. |

I despise most of the Eni spells. Healing word is terribly long, along with Forbidden. Some animations are just way too slow. How do they expect pepole with 12 AP to play all of their AP when spell animations take half your turn? I use hotkeys and using two Healing Words takes half my turn.

You no longer have to wait until your AP is used to cast another spell. |

Punch of the Crackler looks too small to me. They need to make the fist larger, and maybe they should be groundbreaking and make it actually look like a fire spell.

• Sacrifice, cooperation, transposition and swap practically have the same animation, some swirly thing. The animation itself isn't that bad, but it is repetitive. >:(
• Pain shared basically doesn't have an animation. The sprite jumps up and down and that's it. Lame. Release, moon hammer and soul capture have the same animation. (or has it yet to be implemented?). • Sacrier's foot.. is like throwing those little popping firework beans at your opponent, it's silly. Although it is quite acceptable, I guess. • Most weapon skills are ugly. Bow and hammer skill look fine, the rest however.. (haven't seen wand yet) @dan/honey: If you now quickly cast several spells on a monster, while for example the first is still having its animation, the other spells will follow straight after. You don't need to wait till an animation is done for casting a new spell, the system kind of remembers what you ticked. It even works at the end of a turn, when your time actually is supposed to be over. Also, currently all spell animations are a maximum of 2 seconds long. You are able to stack spells btw. You no longer have to wait until your AP is used to cast another spell. But what about when you have a large amount of AP and need to heal several characters? I have two eni alts. Most of the time, they have 12 AP. Say I use healing word three times on several characters, then revitalizing, how am I supposed to have enough time to move around and attack with my extra AP? Yeah, it's pretty stupid that they put the spell stacking but shortened our turns (at least it looks shorter...), btw, when you got a monster who's almost dead and you don't know if your next attack will kill it, if you use twice and he dies on your first spell, you'll be wasting AP, but you can't afford to wait till the animation is over to see if he will die or not '-'... Sometimes the time we have on 1.xx isn't enought, this is an strategy game, ffs, you need to have time to think before you act '-' Im starting to hate 2.0 it's way too early to release it in december, they'll probably delay it... Yeah, that animation is just... too narrow-gauged. And the fist comes down from too high. It should be ment like a giant heavy stone fist which crushes the enemy. |

Ok.. now.. i not post to many times on this forum.... but when i get KEY to 2.0 and see my sac 190lvl (187 on beta ) Spells i just must say it. LOOK OF SPELLS IS TERRIBLE! Any spell look so EPIC... many fireworks around... this is fun on 1st cast but any next time is disgusting. About spells... Dissolution - What the hell is this? Oo NC Fury - Where on this animation is "fury" and water, btw it look like one of bufs... Leek Pie - looks like throw firework :/ Punishment - same animation type like others.. bored and dont know what action it is. Bloodthirsty Madness - Kick + animation like i give hp to ally Punishment's - wrong animation like for me... from 1.29 was more "nice to see" Swap - can be but could be something more interesting. Attraction - animation is good (LOL Cooperation - not bad... but like in all others spells this animation is not "bloody" but just red for me :/ Transposition - Work more on this animation now is distant Swap Sacrifice - make new animation.... Evasion - what show this animation i dont know... btw would be nice if sacrier change his stance position when spell is ON ^^ Sacrier's Foot - kick, nice.. but those fireworks after ? why? Assault - LOL .... sacrier should clap and make shock wave - this would be nice Absorption - wth backing pee? Oo ... i wonts see drained blood from enemy! Life Transfer - blood splashing around - ok - but after this some come from ground? WTF Thats all for now.... Im hope AG would find person with good imagination to make nice animations of spells....
