1.29 beta
So I downloaded the forced beta, yesterday morning I think. Link didnt work BTW, had to check forums to find it. Way to go forcing people to check broken links
So ya after installing the 1.29 beta, I logged on. I thought noone talked, but thats unusual at that time im usually flooded in frenchiness. I needed forums again to know that I need to write /clear to enable chats....every single time I log. Means I cant see bank sales, pet status or epople PMing me when I log. Next thing I noticed wrong was the chat again. IT had weird symbols. So after asking around I found my options got reset. Same with the map options. Oh and grid on mini-map still doesnt work BTW. I saw that theres new things called hormones for pets. Kinda cool but took a lot of asking around to get any info. So from what I got so far, theres a powder for "every" pet that its boss drops, and a new powder in pet dungeon. Add a couple meat and fish and yu ge a pet improvement. Sounds cool, except from what I learned so far subscribtion pets were forgotten. Please fix. I didnt have time to check the other new things much yet. But please fix those 3 bugs before you release full version, theyre annoying |

Yeah, the confusion about where to download it kinda sucked. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Dofus twice before I finally found the right version. It only reset my options which wasn't such a big deal since it's just a few checked boxes. As long as my keyboard shortcuts don't get reset, I'm fine with it.
The chat thing is annoying sure, but it fixes itself if you wait a while, and it took me all of 5 minutes or so on the forums to find the solution of typing /clear. Annoying but not THAT big of a deal. The pet thing though, are you serious? They "forgot" subscription pets? Are you sure about that? Are you sure that there wasn't a way to give subscription pets the same bonus for the last...oh I dunno, 8 months or so? There's not really anything to fix with subscription pets, that's what hippi-hos are for. |

... so let me get this straight. The events of 1.29 occurred thusly:
1.29 Beta becomes available: September 9th, 2009 1.29 Beta ends and 1.29 goes live: September 29th, 2009. SkavenGuy gets around to trying out and commenting on the 1.29 Beta: September 30th, 2009 SkavenGuy posts a topic (in the wrong section I might add) talking about things in the beta he hopes get fixed before the release of 1.29: October 1, 2009. Does anyone but me see anything at all... let's say "strange", since it's the kindest word I can think of... about that timeline? |

He's saying that because there were a couple issues with 1.29 going live (and one thing he only thinks was a mistake), and so he's acting like it's still in beta and shouldn't have been released yet.
