Hey, I was thinking of bringing this thread to dofus myself! In the original fourm, people did have some discusion other then, the rollplay fourm, but I reckon it should be kept, to being about this fourm.

For my first post, I'd like to recomand, newbie RPers, to Dofus Acadamy. My first ever post was on Dofus acadamy, it began my rode to a great RPer. It is also good, for experts, I have been posting on it since page 3. Apparntly War of the Classes, is good for newbies too, again, thats great for experts as well, it has a mixture of games and rp. Now I'd like to advertise my own RP

War of the Dofus
Story: It is years before mordern dofus, the twelve classes are seperate nations. The feccas have found the dofus egg, bringing all out war bettween the classes. The thread, we slowly recreate the history of dofus.

It is on its 5th page, the current plot is: A young xelor, Vardeos, has drunk larva from mount rushu, giving him the name Oto mustan. He rose to power, creating Barkmar! A group of rebels, realised they need a guild to face up to his demons, so they create a guild called Bontrian, before watching Solar die before their eyes. The barkmarians have taken over the entire world, and plans to wipe out, this minor guild Bonta... Can bonta surivive

One of my favirorte, post, was about how Dark Vald was created, you gotta read it, its on page 5

The war of the classes if funny but stupid xD Here is why, EVERYONE seems to end up suicidal charaging on the one class till that class die, read the orignal war of the classes, everyone kept picking on the enus, they all suicidal charaged him, til the enus died.

On wakfu this was so popular, that the moderators accepted it as "The general discuison of rollplay fourm" Everyone accepted as that. Also before to make a new thread, please discuss it on this thread. Reason: Avoid flooding the fourms, As people agreed on Wakfu, we should keep the number of RPs around 3 or 4. Too many is flooding, too low is boring. Another reason for discusing it here, is too keep people from making boring stupid threads. The person could post his ideas, people tell them if its good idea, they add their ideas(if they are joining) Together people think of the whole plot, before they make it. And when its made, it will be an awesome Rp. Read the orignal thread on Wakfu you'll see what I am talking anout

As for games: There are too many pointless games on this fourm flooding the fourm. Like whats the deal with the new game ME TOO! ? Its just people posting what they did recently and someone postest Me too! if they have too. Discus any threads you are gonna make here, to avoid making pointless threads, that spam the fourms.

Well my idea for a new thread is revamping a French Roleplay, after all french made dofus, so wouldn't that mean, they'd have good Roleplay? Don't worry, I have translated the entire french roleplay fourm, with google translator, and with it read it all. My suggestion is revamp(Revamp means to recreate an old thread right?)

Hello young adventurers, I am looking for brave men, brave, resourceful, reliable and boarded my boat: The Mouss'vogue. My goal is to circumnavigate the world in less than 80 years we take the seas but we will stop at the bottom of Amakna to Brakmar then we'll do the rest of the trip. People basicily posted how their character joined off, then how the journey went. Of course we can add our own plot, but keep to the basic travel around the world in less then 80years xD

Not a bad idea, we english speakers seem to find in harder to comherhend the plot of the RP, so unlike the french version, we need a more suspfic(spelling) plot. Lets put some thought into this before you make it. (Because Jebus was the one who thought of the idea, she needs to be the one to make it) We could start with everyone introuducing their characters, their life before their journey. How they got recruted. Then when we have say 4 people we begin.

I'd like to add another feature to this thread, called "Ideas for everyone" You can also post on this thread, your ideas for Rpers to follow (They dont have to follow thse, but it would be nice if they did) I have an idea myself, and will post it as an example
When joining an Rp, don't use your IGN(in game name) For every RP you do, make a differernt character, from a differernt class. And When you post your bio, try and fit in as much as information as possible; example:
Here is a basic format of your bio, for everyone

Name: Kougar
Class:Fecca
Age: 9
Details: Kougar is an adventurous young fecca, who always gets into mischef. When ever he hears the word, "Dangerous" His whole face lits up in excitment. He has an enourmous crush on all girls, but is not very good around them. He isn't very smart either
History: Kougar, being very young doesn't having a very big history, but when he was a baby, he was dropped on the head, decreasing his IQ
Equipment: Kougar, like most childerern his age, wears a full purple pwi set. He also carrys a stick around, which he uses as his wepon.
Level: 5

the finish the setence word game was nerocoposted again, could people please stop nercoposting(I admit when I was new I did it twice) if you see an old thread, that you really liked, and want to do it, but is long dead, dont nercopost it, chat here, and people will tell you if its a good idea to revamp the thread

The Around the world thing: Why not make it a race? We could have like 3 teams maybe, or even 12 spearate class teams. Everytime you post a part of the rp, you gain a point for your team. Therefore the most active wins, but no double posting and trade posting

The Wakfu Academy, my influence (thanks!), got up to 40 pages! In a single schoolyear! If RP's are good and popular, they can reach huge heights!

I figured War Of the Dofus, is going to die, when we hit morden dofus, and have fully created history. So I was thinking of a New Rp I could make. I was playing a game called Prototype, and I decided to base my RP on that! Plot and Rules: Well I would start the thread, in the world is in chaos, everyones turned into zombies, and Im a SuperIop, slying miliatry, infected, hunters ect. Then I talk to some evil guy. Then I would explain the rules of the thread, then I would start the roleplay with

18 days eairler,
and the start of the story, and we keep adding stuff to the story, to get to the 18th day

sounds interessing, much more funner then Around the World. Its simple your first post, says what happened on the 18th day, then the rules, then togeher we post until we reach the 18th day. But the thread won't have to end there, we could keep fighting the infected, try and stop the infection from reaching other parts of the world

Yeah, unfortunately it got kind of wierd. That sort of thing happens to the best of roleplays though. You kind of have to get lucky.

As a side-note, The Mystery of the Dark Legion was going to be a closed RP. I was just going to write a story basically. But I guess I just thought that an open RP would be more fun at the time. Should I write the story how I was planning on writing it? I'll only do it if people are actually interested.

Oh, I'm no noob. I roleplayed on the forum here years ago, but then I quit Dofus. But now I'm back, so I roleplay again.

I don't really know if I want to join the new RP though. No offense to you, but I'm not a big fan of the premise. Good luck with it though. I hope it grows. I just don't think that there are that many RPer's on the forum nowadays. Back in the day when we had a RP MOD and everything there were tons and tons of really great RP's. Go back to like 2006 to 2007 threads. They're great.

"The Arena" And "Civ Dofus" I dont consider to be RPs. The Arena is just full on war with no Plot and Civ Dofus, its not much of a story either. Plus that didn't get very far. Obvious I started RP last month, judging by my posts in Dofus Acadamy, War of the Dofus, Prototype, and mystry legion, how do you rate me as an RPer, and I want your honest opion. And could you give me ideas on how to improve?

It seems you are revamping old threads. You say there are no great RPs anymore. Dofus acadamy is on its 15th page, and is still standing tall.

Simomate, you are an ok RPer for a beginner. You have some spelling issues which can be a bit distracting at times, but it's not that big of a deal. One thing that I would suggest you try is to try to keep it as "realistic" as you can (I put realistic in quotes because there is really nothing realistic about Dofus). Also, try adding a little more details to your posts before you jump right into the action. I noticed on your Mystery of the Dark Legion posts you introduced your character, said what was happening and then something gigantic would happen. Try to ease into it a little slower.

Of course these are just tips from me. I don't proclaim to be a great RPer. It's just something I think I'm pretty good at.

Dofus Academy is doing well as it is on its 15th page. Hopefuly that one keeps going. I just want to get a number a really good RP's out there at once. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm saying this forum is no good. I'm not. I'm just saying it's not what it was 2 to 3 years ago. I'm just trying to get our forum back up to that point for the good of all. I'm glad you guys are all posting and trying to make this place better too.

Your spelling problems are a huge issue in my book, since having to stop in the middle of a good read to figure out what xxx is really ruins the entire thing. As for being realistic, try to keep to the mechanics of the thing itself. For example, I'd like it if when you described the effects of spells, not to warp it into some weird bomb thing, like you did with Mass Trap. Also, try to be consistent. If you write about your character being nervous, show a legitimate progression if you wish to move that aspect of your character's personality to another level.

Don't over exaggerate something which is typical of the character. Just mention it a few times with regularity for comic relief, if that is the aim, but don't keep reverting back to the 'peed in my pants' method whenever you wish to reinforce that aspect of your character's personality or to express fear. It gets old.

I guess Im a better story writer (Note the story I posted on the website, I made straight from my head with no editing). People say Im a really good story writer, but I type differerntly when doing RP. As for the keep it realistc, hardly possible considering my new rp im a super human, trying to figure out who he is, and whats happening to him

Simomate, I just wanted to clear something up. On my new thread, A Walk in the Dark II, you said a great RPer includes as much info on their character as possible. This is just not true. Just because I don't include all the clothing my character is wearing, their hair color, their birthday, their hobbies, and what they had for breakfast that day in the little area before I even start writing, it doesn't mean I'm not doing a good job.

Have you ever read a book in which they included everything you ever wanted to know about a character in the first few sentences? I don't think so. Usually an author won't fully describe his main character in full until at least the end of the second chapter, and then you still don't know everything about them.

Character development is a process. It's much more interesting if you tell your audience about your character in your actual writing then in a little section before hand. I include Name, Class, and Age usually, as that is nice to know. The rest I leave to in-text character development.

Overall, I don't care if you do things differently than I do. Each author has their own process. But don't tell me a "Great" Rper does this or that like this or that.

Hmm. I'm thinking of making an RP where every section of the Dofus world is in a different time period; for example, Astrub would be in X time, Cania plains would be in Y time, Pandala would be in Z time, etc. Of course, that's just the basic idea. Anyone think it's a good one?

Hmm a recent RP War of The Classes has been named dead, so I reckon we should make a new RP. Your idea seems complicated, wouldn't you just make two worlds, based on the world of twelve, one in Dofus time, and one in Wakfu time. It makes no sense, you would enter a differernt time, by going to Cania

But I mean like, every region is permanently stuck is a specific time period. I dunno, maybe the characters would have to go fix the time or whatever, or maybe the God Xelor messed with time or something.

We could have all the ages of history! The tech age, the industrial age, the magic age, the prehistoric age! It could be like Chrono Trigger (Look it up)!

All the ages? No way, we should just keep it too two times, having too many ages, makes the thread complicated.

Heres my idea:
Plot: Two worlds, two times. The time of Dofus, and the time of Wakfu. Each player has two characters one for each time. Begin the thread, easing in, with their life, and troubles, of the characters, then on page 2, people find away of communicating with people from another time, the time eventualy gets mixed up, differernt, areas are differernt times, as your charactr enters asturb, wakfu graphics and time, as you enter amakama village dofus graphics and time. the orgest, ends up in dofus time, Dark vald, creates mischef in Wakfu. After a while, when we write a view pages of how life went on, the characters go on a quest to fix time.

So, Prehistoric will be when the 6 dragons existed, before the Dofi were layed, etc.

Current time will be, of course, the most obvious.

Wakfu would be 1,000 years after, Ogrest has the Dofi, really powerful, whatever.

And the future would be...I dunno, the section that's in the future would be a complete wasteland with barely any life, thus the reason everyone moved into space?

Also, yeah, I think its a good idea to name it after Chrono Trigger.

Chronofu, Chronofu, Chronofu. Nice ring to it! *Daydreams about it* Yeah, this is going to be cool. *Snaps out of it* Mystery of the Dark Legion has been found dead, at a low number of pages. Autopsies reveal that the cause of death was most likely an overdose of posts that don't add to the story.

i like the name chronofu and i want to join in on that thread when it comes out!(mainly because the tales of amakna thread and the second war of the classes i think are pretty much dead)i've really been itching for a new roleplay that i could join.

Dofus divisions map. Voila! I hope it's clear enough. Now, you'll notice Sufokia is not included into any of the time divisions.You'll see why when I finally make the RP.

what does OOC: even mean? and if we are all going to mmet in sufokia altogether as a group,then you or anybody that will post on the chronofu thread,mus find some way for us to all meet up,eventualy and then we truge into sufokia.

The Dofus Academy

OK, umm...I'm not very good at persuasion, but here goes:

The Dofus Academy is basically a school-oriented RP where your characters, quite obviously, go to school. Have 'fun', or at least 'fun' as certain people my role-play character could name *glares at Blood* Anyway, bla bla bla, bureaucratic stuff, triplicate forms, bypass all the paperwork. Just state your name, grade, class, and bingo! Learn it (especially) live it (sort of) and love it (not really).

In 18 days the world will be completly overun by the virus. Zombies and Chafers will rule the city, and soon break out, too begin the conqurernce of the world! We post, slowly getting to day 18, how the people coped, how the virus spread, through out the 18 days.

A Walk in the Dark II

It has been raining heavily on the Cania Plains. They have gotten to the point of flooding. All seems lost! But what's that? You spot a cave in the distance. Once entering the cave you see a dead adventurer, but as this is the only safe place you could manage to find, you go to sleep. In the morning the figure is pointing deeper into the tunnel. You're a little disturbed, but there is no way out because the cave mouth is flooded. You deside to go into the tunnel.

Will the poor adventurers ever see the light of day again? What will they find in the long-forgotten cave?

Nah Im very Australian. My great grandparents were born in australia, on my mother's side. They originated from Ireland though.
