Server updates
What is the purpose of all these Server Updates?
I have been kicked off of my account several times and have not been allowed to log back in due to the required server updates that seem to happen around 50 times a day. The sad thing is, I'm not being sarcastic. There seems to be a server update ever 20 minutes and I am not seeing any significant results coming from them. Are these really necessary? What is the purpose? I don't notice any new changes in the gameplay and there is nothing new about the server status because I am continuously being kicked off due to too many other players logging in simultaneously just as I had always been before these things started updating. Sorry if I seem rude or anything, but it is very frustrating when I finally find some time to play and I can't because of some "server update" that seems to have no significant purpose. Any clarification on this matter would be very much appreciated. |

The purpose is so we're not screwed as badly when there is a rollback. But still, i think they're overdoing it.

What they SHOULD do is ban the millions of bots that are probably taking up a good portion of the connection.. And I mean, 2.0 is going to be a lot better, but there are tons of 3D online games that have twice as many players as Dofus and they only update every month or so. This updating thing is getting out of hand, in my opinion. Especially for those players who are paying for days they can't even log on. |
