Two hour ban while doing professions
If you encounter this ban, you have been misidentified as a bot by the automatic anti-bot system. Lag, game freezes or repeating an action too quickly can send lots of simultaneous requests to the server, and the system thinks you are a bot. The ban lasts two hours, so please do not send in a ticket, as it will not be read before the ban has been lifted.
Below are some suggestions to help you avoid this ban. Though these aren't guaranteed, they may help some players avoid being trapped by this system while farming, grinding or crafting. 1. Change your graphics quality to low. Click the wrench on the top right corner of the game screen, click the display tab, then lower the graphics quality to 'Low'. You will be prompted by a message, just click 'yes'. 2. Work with smaller batches in the multicraft interface. If your internet connection is a bit slow, use batches of 250, and if your connection is faster, try 500. Batches larger than 500 are not recommended. 3. After each batch of several hundred, clear your chatbox by typing /cls. 4. Try to choose a fairly empty workshop. Many characters being present on the map increases the lag. 5. Turn off all heavily-used channels such as trade, recruit and Incarnam channels. If your guild chat is busy, consider turning that off, too. 6. Turn off the information channel (green), which has a message after each craft. 7. Try not to use the multicraft interface during the daily server backups. When the server backup begins and ends, the server tends to lag, producing this ban. 8. Every few minutes use the /ping or /aping command to check your latency. If the number is higher than 500ms consider taking a break from professions.
