Wave of Fraudulent E-mails
A wave of fraudulent e-mails was sent to a large number of players on Sunday, October 4th around 13:50 by usurping the identity of an e-mail address appearing to be from Ankama. These e-mails were sent from the address moderation@ankama.com and propose to make you a moderator based on good behavior in game and asking you to answer several questions. It is an obvious attempt to steal your Ankama account information.
The authors of the fraudulent e-mail erroneously left their personal information in the e-mails they sent, allowing our legal department to quickly track them down. If you have received one of these e-mails, please be sure not to respond to the questions in the mail and delete it. Some basic security reminders: * We don't recruit our moderators by asking them to go on a site and identify themselves. * E-mails and messages in game asking you to go to a site and give your account information should be ignored. * More generally, be wary of people you don't know who offer you an unfair advantage. -------------------- Important and Useful Links Support <<>> Terms of Service <<>> Forum Rules <<>> Community Site <<>> Game Guide |
