Not really, you can always do 4 slots recipe and level without chopping all the way to 100. It will cost you probably less than level a tailor.

lumberjack and tailor are slightly different, tailor you level as fast as your budget allows, lumberjack forces you to cut down low level trees because of the rarity of high ones, and there is no decent recipes for LJ like there is for alch, farmer and miner Tailors have an alternative - level on piwis from 1-60 and great adventurer bags 60+. This is what I did - incredibly dull (not yet at 100), but requiring nothing but time. |

6'824 crafts are needed if you go with 4 slots recipes from lvl 80 to 100. So, it's 6'824 trunknid wood: can be bought but not all at the same time.

I can't imagine how long it will take to buy this quantity due to its limited supply. I can only imagine how its price will steadily climb if someone uses it to level lumberjack... |

Well, some people don't like to spend hours chopping wood, but they want lvl 100 lumberjack. And trunknid wood is the only way to get there without chopping.
I myself chopped wood and continue to do it now (over 1 million xp on my lumberjack and should be near 2 millions when I'm done with my profs). On the other hand, I'm working on shield smith at the moment and I will need 3'417 crackler hearts (it's the cheapest and the most resources efficient recipe). Six thousands of trunknid wood look like a joke comparing to lvl 80+ shield smith mats. |

Yes, that's the only way if they don't want chopping. @OP: The sole purpose of leveling a lumberjack is to chop trees. What's the purpose for having a level 100 lumberjack if you don't want to chop trees? QUOTE On the other hand, I'm working on shield smith at the moment and I will need 3'417 crackler hearts (it's the cheapest and the most resources efficient recipe). Six thousands of trunknid wood look like a joke comparing to lvl 80+ shield smith mats. I don't know why you said it would look like a joke. The supply of trunknid wood is always limited while the demand for it is pretty high. The problem on the supply side has become worse with the pvp mess nowadays. I don't know what's the situation in your sever, but here in my server, they are hardly found in sellrooms despite the fact its price has jumped nearly tenfold since the introduction of headhunting. On the other hand, crackler's heart is not always in high demand and people still farm cracklers heavily. I myself hold over 1,500 crackler's hearts in my bank (after using a few hundred), and I believe my sister hold a similiar amount too. I always found people throwing them on the ground when I farmed diamonds. So maybe you can advertise your purchase in a better way to speed up your profession. I meant the whole set of mats. 3400 hearts + 120'000 of ore. This is needed to go from 80 to 100 only. Not to mention that all these shields can't be used, sold or crushed for runes. It's a pure waste of mats.
LJ potions can be sold (slowly, though) and can be used for repairing ethereals. Indeed, many people throw away the hearts as a junk and many of them don't want to bother selling them as 5-10kk won't make a difference for them. Actually I was planning to spam r and b channels with announces I'm buying them. Ore and wood at the moment are of greater concern for me. |

Hi,
I'm also trying to reach lvl 100 lumberjack. Here are some hints I learned along the way. 1) If you're under lvl 60 you can equip a mount, but you can't ride it so just use it as an extra holding. (P2P) 2) Let's say your mount is holding up to max compacity and you are holding up to max compacity, go to a bank thats empty, sofukia is a good one, drop the resource on the floor move the mounts inventory to your own. Make sure that you dropped the one type of resource. (P2P) 3) Quickly pick up what you dropped. It will say you are overloaded if you try to move and thats okay. You can still access the bank and deposit all the resourses you worked hard to gather. 4) Where a set of cracker boots, belt and amulet this makes the resource protectors unable to do too much damage if it doesn't prevent it all. I use Minot'Horn, Sack of Novist, Pippin Blop Ring, Indigo Blop Ring and an Oak axe |
