speaking of participate and discuss I would like to know if any ideas, comments,or suggestions made on this forum actually ever reach Lichen or anyone else in the development team and if so would it be to much to ask that a comment be made on a thread acknowledging that someone in the development team actually read it. Even something as stupid as "Lichen saw this" as an example. The fact that Lichen will read and respond on the French forums but this one the attitude seems to be "who cares their not French we will take their money but listen to them why would we do that" whether that attitude is true or not it is the one projected by the lack of comment or response on these forums.

You're just impatient all I had to do was simply ask Izmar via a comment if she could fix the icons and viola they were fixed. I'm sure she'll get around to checking this and hopefully replying to it for you.

So, your point is that Izmar is the only MOD that's actually DOING something? Since we asked a lot of things and none of those were listened :/

Ismar isn't a Mod, she's a Community Manager actually employed by Ankama. She has more "power" and better contact with Ankama. Mods have very little power outside the general "Forum-Police" role they volunteered for. They're not paid, and they're not based at Ankama. The only thing they can get anything "done" outside their ban/lock/merge/etc powers is via the Community Manager.

Community Managers have Mod powers and MORE. Mods are the lowest rung of the ladder.

I'm liking the ideas you've all posted! I'm trying to work out an agreement with lichen about posting here on the English forums. He's a very busy dev with 2.0 coming out and hasn't even had time to post opinions on the French forums for about a month.

If this can happen at all - which I'm not promising it will - I hope you'll all be aware that it will be a very rare and special treat. Lichen does not usually post on communities outside of the French community, even though all of our DOFUS communities have great ideas that the developers love! Most of the developers speak little to no English or German or Spanish or Portuguese, or Italian, or any of the other many languages that DOFUS has been translated into. For them to take the time to learn them all and respond to each community individually, no player idea could ever make it into the game again!

This doesn't mean that your ideas aren't being heard by anyone at all! A big part of my job as your CCM is to bring your amazing ideas and opinions to the developers (an job that I love to do)! I'll do all that I can to give you back responses that I get to your ideas as long as our players keep what I'm about to say next in mind.

Many wonderful ideas that have been posted on this forum have made their way into the game, but it's often many months or even years after the original suggestion was made and not always exactly the way that the player who suggested it envisioned so there's a big gap between the suggestion and the developers' response.

One of the long-time favorite player suggestions "make it possible to change colors/names" will be part of the upcoming Ogrine services that Ankama is releasing. This was first suggested five years ago, but soon it'll finally be possible! Even if an idea isn't added to the game right away or given a specific response from a dev, that doesn't mean the developers dislike it or didn't hear it. Sometimes it takes a long while before the developers have a specific response to an idea!

I've written up a report with all your forum thoughts that I couldn't add to the forums on my own. With any luck we should see some of them appearing in the next few months. =)

First of all thanks for all the improvements. Official forum looks much better now and I hope it'll be able to attract more experienced players.

I believe, no one needs the response exactly from Lichen, but we do need some feedback. You know, you may write something like "I've translated and sent your idea to developers. Keep up with good work". And many people will be satisfied with it as majority of those who produce really good ideas are mature enough to understand that developers do not speak other languages than french and simply don't have time to answer every question.

The main problem with the suggestions and discussions on international forums is lost faith. People write the most stupid things excusing themselves with "No one reads it, no one cares what we do, what we suggest, what we complain about".

Also I'd be happy to see international Zone 48. I'm not sure if 4 of each class are really enough to be objective, but it's still better than the situation now with never-ending "Nerf, nerf, nerf" topics.

And I would like to suggest to divide servers' forums into 2 different sections: one for recruiting (guilds, dungeons, etc.) and one for trading only. It's really good we now have forums dedicated to servers but they can become messy very soon.

One other suggestion: is it possible to have a page on the website with the "DUT" displayed (real-time updating) for each of the servers (is it server specific?), and how it relates to a real-world time-zone (i.e. GMT+X). I'm not sure anyone sets their watch to DUT, and logging in seems long-winded in comparison.

It's pretty hard to organise yourself around events advertises with "DUT" time.

DUT is equal to GMT+1, it's the same for all Dofus servers. You can set the forum to display time in DUT (aka GMT+1) in your Board Settings.

At the top of the forum is Your Name in green. Next to your name is My Settings. Click that, then click "My Controls." "Board Settings" is in the column on the left side of the screen and the time zone menu is at the top when you click. At the moment, it works best to have Daylight Savings Time turned off.

It's more of a matter of clarity, and convenience then. I'm sure most people (who play Dofus) know DUT is GMT+1, but I think the most immediate reaction from newcomers is "There's a real timezone called DUT?"

Stick "DUT" in google and nothing related to Dofus comes up on the first page (or any page for a long while). Hey, DUT also stands for "Delta Universal Time" (whoops?). Stick in "DUT Dofus" and you get a bunch of forum posts (which thankfully do say it's GMT+1), and a fansite that says DUT is GMT+2 (whoops?).

You stick "GMT" in google and you get a website with a little javascript clock that ticks over each second, telling you what GMT time is right now.

I actually do live in GMT, so GMT+1 is really just 1 hour off my actual time. But it seems confusing to tell people "Oh, if you want to know what the time of this event is, you have to first remember the real timezone, then adjust it a second time to get your own time." I'm sure people enjoy maths, but is it that hard to have little ticker going for France time with the name scrubbed out and "Dofus Time" put in its place?

My forum settings are my timezone, not some fictional/French timezone. All the other clocks in my house tell me the time where I live. (BST isn't exactly helping either).

It's not explained in the Dofus Glossary either

I realize that the development team is busy trying to work out the bugs and finish the work on 2.0 it was not my intention that Lichen himself post here although it would be a good sign to the international community. I was rather hoping that you as CM could check and if the development team had read a idea, suggestion etc, you could simply post in the thread that Lichen had read it a simple "Lichen read this" to show that we are not being ignored. For years players here have made suggestions and had discussions but for all we knew we were not being heard and at times we seem to be simply forgotten.

I've already asked the web team about the clock and they say it can be added to the website, but it will be a month or two before it can be done. If anyone thought I was arguing that a clock wasn't needed, that wasn't my intent. =)

Mind if I ask what you don't like? Maybe we can come to a compromise?
