Brokle. I'm a STR-build Iop. I like the sheer potential for damage at higher levels. I tend to favor STR-based Iops, and always have, as long as I've been playing Dofus. I stopped playing through most of 2009 due to a combination of a lack of time and money. I just recently got back into it, and one of my favorite spells, Brokle, the Iop-specific spell, has been seriously nerfed.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I understand that the old spell was very, very powerful and was in desperate need of fixing.

I'm here on my soapbox to reminisce. The old Brokle... We had some good times. The first time I used the new Brokle, I felt like I'd watched an old friend fall down the stairs and break his hip. It was and embarrassing and humiliating and painful experience.

So long, Brokle. Your former glory shan't be forgotten.

The old Brokle was a great damage spell. Perfect for when you were surrounded, or simply wanted to do better damage than you would normally do at that level (at low levels). The new Brokle... I haven't used it much, but I'm still not sure who to cast it on...

That's pretty much my feeling. I hate being surrounded, and wanting SO BADLY to have a great damage spell for everything around me, but all I've got is Divine Sword. Which is Air-based. And that makes me sad.

Yeah because Iops don't have Jump, or blow, or intimidate...Brokle is hax now, cast it and instantly every spell that hits the target gets the highest rolls available? Yeah that 'sucks'. Old brokle was only ever used by low levels, once iops got to high levels they never bothered with it because, well it wasn't that great compared to Jump + SOI. Now Brokle is an enormous boon for higher level iops.

I cant remember seeing anyone above level 30 use brokle before the change. It just wasnt that great of a spell. Sword of iop can already do excellent damage in a nice AoE, you can cast it right in front of you to take out monsters surrounding you, or jump away and cast it on them.

The new brokle is amazing, especially for team play. I love brokle with my aggressive brambles, as well as for my CC attacks, which are highly variable. Its a very nice spell.
