[News] Operation «Gate Crashers» on the DOFUS 2.0 Beta Server!
The server will remain opened for exactly five hours, and when that time is up, the server will once again be locked to those without 2.0 Beta Keys. You can download the DOFUS 2.0 beta client ahead of time at following address: download.dofus.com/dofus2/win/ Download client for Mac: http://download.dofus.com/dofus2/mac/ Download client for Linux: http://download.dofus.com/dofus2/linux/ Absolutely do not miss this chance, they need your presence! This operation will allow us to test the resillance of the servers against heavy traffic to optimize its performace! Ankama is trying to test the server, and see what happens when thousands of people try and log in at the same time and then try and run around, so they can optimize things. Expect more lag than you can imagine, and be happy you are causing so much lag - the more people that strain the server the better they can optimize it.
Hopefully their beta login server isnt as terrible as the one we have to deal with now... else all theyll learn is that nobody can login and everyone is pissed. |

Anyhow, it seems that the mac version of dofus 2.0 beta client is bugged. I can't launch the application. I have responded a post in here: Beta 2.0 Client for Mac and Linux. I hope the it will be fixed before the release date.

They may get what they're hoping for on the french server. I'm sure the mods are all telling them to download and login. A measly forum post won't get 70% of the international player base.

Yeah i got a beta key for 2.0 but the download is only 2.3mb and when i run it or save, and then instal it shows a pop up that says the directory is not empty. Anyone know the anwserto why its happening?

honestly, the window wasn't open long enough for me to take part in it...same for the beta key giveaway at tentonhammer...was for premium members, but the ankama ad didn't say that...yay to me for more junk I don't need...oh well, guess there's always the december launch for me

I only got to check it out for a very short time. Not enough to really check out anything. I hope there is enough advance notice next time there is an open beta testing, I would really like to see more. The spell casting did seem real laggy though.

I've just played dofus 2.0 to test it out, and heres what i'm going to say, i'm very shocked - i thought it was much better but it appears that the only good thing is the graphics, the gameplay is alot worse, the spells animation Is really bad, cra spell's animation is VERY bad, i expected it to be alot better.

It didn't work for me;
Runtime Error! [file location] This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. : Unfortunately for me, I for some reason couldn't send anything straight to the Ankama support. I'd still like to download it to see the sprites, but this is where the error occurs. |

i got it downloaded but it still wouldnt work it said 'would you like to run this file?' i click yes then it says like im downloading something and when i click install it says 'Installation directory is not empty cannot prosses installation' its so annoying and it was so bad i could use the beta at all

Um, so you posted this on November the 4th? or did i just miss out? im wondering about dofus dates. Im kinda hopeful you just got the date wrong. and its not 4 November. but like the 9th or 10th. It was, indeed, posted on November the 4th, for an event happening later that day. Unfortunately, you missed it, but there's another one later today (in about three and a half hours from now as I post this), so you haven't entirely missed your chance to participate.
