Well, I don't really see the added value in this, since there's an ingame map provided already? Sure it adds characteristics of the area you click on... but this is something most somewhat experienced players already know. Not to mention that the DOFUS wiki provides accurate, in-depth descriptions of pretty much all areas of dofus.
It looks great, though, so I think it's nice for artwork but a bit redundant. |

With this map, the secrets of the World of Twelve are yours for the taking! It's kind of neat - it doesn't give precious information, nor do I think that the secrets of the world are mine for the taking, and it's really really slow. That said, it's a nice (small) addition to the dofus website. |

This map provides much more useful information. Though the new map on the website looks nice. -------------------- |

Speaking of which, are there any sites you know of that have outside maps of previous versions of the game? I didn't wander around a lot in the pre-Incarnam days, and while I used to occasionally wander out into the Cania Plains, I don't have a clear memory of the geography. It'd be neat to see the pre-Koalak maps again. |

The way I see it, the point of that map is meant to give background details on certain areas, not to give a guide on resources in that area and all the types of monsters you can fight there.

hmm it's indeed both very cool, though I have to say that the official given map isn't right....
Sufokia isn't at the entire bottom of the map, in fact there's even much down it (e.g. gobbal prairy, tofu fields....) ~sully |

Pretty Interesting. Always nice to see the company giving us new stuff to look at. I did find a small typo as I was browsing it tho and I thought I would mention it here.
In the Cania Plains section: QUOTE If you decide to go south, you'll end up passing through Bonta Cemetery. Besides the classical tombs and crypts, it is home to wildlife known to revel in such morbid places. Im not sure where you could be to head south into Bonta Cemetery. Just a minor detail tho. -------------------- |

Think it's a great addition. Especially for new players like myself. Those people who do not know anything about fancy websites like Dofus Tools
Good to get some background information and a few pointers of where to go in the beginning |

It'd be neat to see the pre-Koalak maps again. No, sorry, can't help with it. But I think that you can check wiki for old versions of the image files and Jeux OnLine for the old maps (you can also try to ask for them if you manage to find some help with translation of your request, French sometimes can be very unhappy with the foreigners speaking poor French). Probably, someone on IV has them, too. I play only for 2 years, so I'm unfamiliar with the world before <insert here expansion/update name>. Anyway, good luck with finding these maps. -------------------- |

the hell? i didnt write that stuff so why delete my post? i just quoted it stating it was random and its gonna get deleted. is it so hard to just delete that bit? sheesh.
anyhoo ill repeat what i said ABOUT THE TOPIC the map itself looks good but thats it. its not even correct. cania now has several areas and is not just 1 big field called cania plains. it would be better if the map listed every area and gave details on it. ie. cania dessert, scara plains etc etc. it would also be good to have an underground map and even incarman for the newbies to look at. other than it looking good i think this map is rather lazy. clearly didnt take very long to do or think up. it has potential if more effort is to be put in. i like nikto's link. THAT is the amount of effort it should have as not many newbies know of other websites about dofus. and most newbies dont use the forum to see the links. edit. just noticed an error. on the cania plains it says ' if you decide to go south you'll come to bonta cem' that should be NORTH. you cant go south to reach bonta cem. error number 2. is says 'on arrival of cania plains you'll meet the plain cracklers'... wrong. that should be on arrival of rocky plains error number 3. mino island. you dont pass THROUGH dopple territory, you pass BY it error number 4 (this is last one as its boring me) dreggon peninsula, it says the bridge is the ONLY way to access it. well as well all know its not. you can reach it from the brakmar side This post has been edited by killerfurby: 31 Jan 2010, 21:27 |
