[News] DOFUS version 1.27: Dopples and Doploons! DOFUS version 1.27 is arriving on 7 April 2009!

Don’t miss this news - class Dopples are getting a make over and we’re introducing Doploons and weekly bunches of dungeon keys!

You’ll also find an introduction to Mot Olov and Spiritual Leash, the new Special Eniripsa and Osamodas Spells in the last part of this news!

The Dopples in the class temples could be challenged from level 1 to 99 once a day and allowed players to gain considerable experience in the previous version of DOFUS. However, these Dopples were not that easy to access and they were not as beneficial as we’d hoped, which is why we’ve decided to update them in the DOFUS 1.27 update.

Each character will now be able not only to fight the Dopple of their own class once a day, but the Dopples of all 11 other classes too, and up to level 200! The characteristics of these Dopples have been revised to allow players to fight them easier, while nonetheless keeping the element of risk!

These fights against Dopples allow players to gather XP as before (although players will gain more experience with the Dopple of their own class), but now they will receive Doploons too! Each Dopple will have a different sort of Doploon.

Doploons can then be exchanged in class temples for Special Spells, a weekly bunch of dungeon keys, or a Guildalogem, as well as to forget spell levels.

So, characters can:
- Obtain their special spell for 1 Doploon of their class,
- Obtain the bunch of weekly dungeon keys for 1 Doploon of their class,
- Obtain a Guildalogem for 1 Doploon from each class,
- Forget one spell level for 7 Doploon of their class or 1 Doploon from each class.

Temple Dopples allow players to gain XP on a daily basis and also offer an alternative to expensive potions and the dungeons on Otomai Island when casual players wish to forget spells.

Dopples can also help all players get into any dungeon, once a week, with their famous weekly bunch of dungeon keys. This non-exchangeable object is only available once a week and allows characters to enter every dungeon in the game once during that week. The bunch of keys will help players who can’t afford the high prices for dungeon keys to try them out once a week.

In this way, all players can have the pleasure of discovering certain dungeons free of charge, but the traditional dungeon keys will continue to be used, which is essential for players who need to attempt a particular dungeon several times in a single week.

Mot Olov is a countdown spell that Eniripsas can either cast on an ally or themselves. Upon the turn of the person under the effects of the spell, the Mot Olov will deal area of effect damage equal to one third of their remaining Health Points. This spell is useful if the Eniripsa is surrounded and wishes to deal high levels of damage in the area, but the spell can also be used in teams as a time bomb when it’s cast on an ally with high Health Points who would then be placed behind enemy lines.

Spiritual Leash will work in much the same way as before: Osamodas can use it to bring a dead ally to life in combat. This spell has been improved, however – players who are brought back to life will return with a higher percentage of their Health Points. If none of the allies die, the Osamodas can bring the last summons that perished back to life instead. The spell is also easier to use in general, which should have the effect of reinforcing the importance of Osamodas as support characters in groups.

so now eni's do less healing, and get a new attack spell. well at least they didn't completely kill them. The new dopple rewards look nice though, and by being able to challenge all class dopples at all levels will make some leveling a little funner and more challenging. I rather like all these improvements, but I feel eni's should have gotten a heal spell that ignored the new 10% unregainable hp rule. after all, they are a healer class.

Does the forget spell for the 7 token things mean that one spell gets re-set to level 1 from it's current level or you only forget one spell level?

I think the doploons should be exchangable for ressurection powders as well. Pet dungeon is still not fun to do, and it's such a hassle to get there very few people want to even try to go.

Does anyone know how these 'weekly bunch of dungeon keys' work? It says they allow you to 'enter every dungeon in the game once during that week'. It sounds awesome to me but almost too good to be true. Does this mean players can run the Cawwot dungeon without having a full Wa Set? Do they just not receive a cawwot dofus at the end because it requires exchanging the set for it? What about Skeunk? Once a week is more often than most players do it anyway and now that there's no need for Koolich Sets most high-level teams will be running it once a week regularly.

How about dungeons that require quest item keys? Like Sphincter? And what about dungeons within dungeons like Royal Tofu or Soft Oak?

It would be fantastic if you could do all of the above but unfortunately, from past experience, the dev team take the easy solution. I wouldn't be surprised if every single dungeon that isn't a standard 'give key, key is consumed, do dungeon' one will just be inaccessible via these weekly bunches of dungeon keys.

Pretty much now theres not much of a need to buy dungeon keys.

Monday - Tynril, Kimbo
Tuesday - LC, DP, Dreggon
Wednesday - Skeunk
Thursday - Bworker, Peki
Friday - Kitsou, Tot, Kaze
Saturday - Sphinter, RT, RRB
Sunday - SO, Fungus
hehe gonna save me a lot of money tongue.gif
I love this new idea, although its gonna crash key prices as well as resource prices.

Most likely yeah and that would ruin my weekly dungeon plan sad.gif

OK, I just went to the test server and checked it out. Had to put the language in french so I didn't get all of the dungeon names, here are some of the notable ones I got that are possible with this bunch of keys:

Skeunk
Tot
Royal Tofu (I'd assume Soft Oak too then but I didn't see it and I don't know the french name)
Kimbo
Tynril
Black and White Rat are there but not Sphincter
Bworker

There are probably a fair few other good ones there like Dreggon, Fungus and Kaze but I didn't notice them.

Skeunk's brilliant though. No more Koolich marathons thank god!
