[FAQ] Solar - Need help or answers, look here first!
Hey guys,
Solar is finally open! Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions! The server is restricted, I can't enter, what's happening? Solar is reserved for subscribers at the moment. Also, only the people from the International and UK Community can connect to the server. There will be no community changes. I'm in Incarnam and can't see my friend, my alts, what's wrong? To avoid over-population of such a perfectly-sized area, 'Incarnam' runs on several instances which means that there are several 'Incarnams' in existence at any one time. It is possible that you won't end up in the same instance as your friends or alts, but you can meet up with them. To do this, simply find them in your friend list and click 'join' and you'll be brought straight to them, so long as they are also in Incarnam and they are not in either a cave or a dungeon. When will we receive our welcome gifts? They will be handed out on Friday, at 11:30am GMT+1 My account setting are set on 'UK Community' can I still log in? Yes. Due to the large number of American players in the UK community (hundreds of messages were sent to support), we have decided to open the North American servers to the UK Community. Will it open to other Communities? No. Only the International and UK communities have access and it will remain that way. I'm from Quebec and I can't connect to the server, what's wrong? The account has to be created in English to be set in the International Community. I've sent a ticket to support but my ticket priority is non-subscriber, while I am a subscriber, what's going on? This is an ongoing issue that the support has had for a while now. For now, the subscriber / non-subscriber status is simply being ignored. -------------------- Important and Useful Links Support <<>> Terms of Service <<>> Forum Rules <<>> Community Site <<>> Game Guide |

"If you have a different community and would like to change it you can send a ticket to the support (in the GM applications section).
You can only change your community once, though. "

So basically, it appears that Ankama allow americans to play on any server they like, however uk players are restricted from joining their servers, This truly sucks :(
If I chose to go "international" with my account would I then be barred from entering Shika or Otomai servers or would I them be able to access everywhere? |

Submitted my ticket and it shows as 'Non-subscriber' priority? WTF? I resubbed an hour ago! So my ticket will just be ignored I suppose. Way to make me feel welcome back.

Hm, why all this community bullshit?
Isn't it just making everything unnecessarily complicated? |

Citation Dexploratio : Hm, why all this community bullshit? Isn't it just making everything unnecessarily complicated? Let's see..... It might be because everyone's upset about not getting into the new server which we have been waiting for awhile . Also might be because A. they never announced that the server would cut off such a large portion of the dofus community, B and in not doing so, many ppl unknowingly sold off their equips and cut off ties from friends to leave the server and C. THE PPL WHO GOT IN HAVE A HEADSTART IN MAKING THE TOP 120 OF THE SOLAR LADDER. AND IT IS MAKING US VERY VERY ANGRY!! (sorry if i seem..... grumpy, I'm one of those people and it has not be a good day for me *twitches*) |

The Main-Problem i think is:
Many ppl asked about the nature of Solar and if other Communities can join. There was no answer to this questions... |

I totally agree ...
I posted a ticket in GM Application and i recieved this : ''"Hello, (This is a mass-reply ticket.) Due to the large number of American players in the UK community (hundreds of messages have already been sent to support), we have decided to open the North American servers to the UK Community. If you are in the UK Community and still not able to log in: Try to log in with a wrong password. Then log in normally and it should be fine. If you are neither in the International or UK Community, please reopen this ticket. Kaoly "'' I re-opened the tickete and waiting for reply right now ... But i think its really unfair that some players can play and climb the Solar ladder with some really fast advance ... So Kaoly-senpai , im looking forward your reply ^^ |

Received the mass email 3 time (so far anyway) and my ticket was closed. Still don't have Solar as an option on login even with using a bad password to clear the cache. Opened a new ticket. Guess I won't be playing before I have to go to work. Seems I got up early for nothing. Thanks a lot.

'You Brazilians already have a server...' a bit racey that line and no I am not brazilian. And hmm.. Zuzuzumaki the word International surely means Everybody in the World. So I don't really understand what UK and International means in the first place. :S (puzzled) |

Many Americans want to join this one because since it is closer, there should be less lag, until you have thousands of people who just hear the word NEW and 'have to have it!' Or, some ppl from different communities might wish to join a new server just to keep playing with their UK/International friends they met on Rushu or Rosal. It may sound harsh for you, but there STILL EXIST people who value true friendship and true fun over hyper-leveling and server domination. I'm from Brazil and I can't join Solar with my friends cause Ankama apparently changed my community to brazilian without my concern. I don't know, maybe they thought I'd be happy and thankfull in some way that, I confess, I couldn't determine. Anyway, ticket has been sent. I can see well the kind of player you are refering to, Teskeria, but don't underput your mind by generalizing your point, please. |

Hey guys,
so let me get it straight. 1. You say there will be a new international server 2. Then its only the new North American server -> a well not too bad 3. At the start of the server!!! you tell us that you just defined that international = english??? Hm racism anyone? Nah not really but only very poor decision making in my eyes. So you really wanna tell us "oh sorry we couldnt expect that people would go and try a new international server in the first week"?? And all that after you gently tried to lure us with double xp and a nice pet? Honestly who do you guys think you are? Greetz, Alwahad |

I'd like to see an exhaustive list of the "communities". I've been very confused about this for a while. By heading to dofus.com and clicking on "server status", here is what I see.
"UK Community" "International Community" "German Community" "Spanish Community" "Portuguese Community" I can not see any french servers in the list, but I can assume there's "French Community" also. Now what confuses me is this. What other non-listed "communities" are supposed to be "International"? Obviously US/Canada is considered "International", but who else? Evidently, German speaking players are not "International". UK players are not "International" (though they can play Solar). Spanish speaking players are not "International". Portuguese speaking players are not "International". I'm assuming French speakers are not "International". So who is "International"? I guess US/Canada, Russian speakers, Scandanavian countries, etc... The word "International" is just so unclear. It's a blanket term that is just not descriptive at all where every other community has a very specific and narrow language definition. You know what language is going to be dominant before even signing up (German, Spanish, Etc...). I joined Solar in hopes to be able to communicate with majority of other players using English. I played Rushu for years and it's got to the point where I can only communicate with maybe 50% of the population in English due to various other languages represented. So far Solar has delivered, I just hope it continues to do so. I love meeting people from other countries and cultures, but I just want to maximize communication. |
