Project DD!
We're a small group of people that decided to get together on a new project concerning our international community, dofus and Ankama. We're launching a new project that will act as a link between our community and Ankama. How we're planning to do this will only get answered if you are intrested in becoming a member of the team. We're not going public with any details yet as we're still preparing and discussing but we know what we need. We have the compentece, contacts and foundings to pull this through and we're hoping to launch this project as soon as possible. We do however need more help. Who are you? You are someone that don't mind dedicating alot of time on this project and also don't mind that no financial profit will be gained out if. You will become a new sort of volunteer worker for the community but also Ankama. You know alot about the game, our community and Ankama. You are intrested in donating some of your sparetime to make our international community a better place for everyone. What are we searching for? Translator. Someone who both writes and read well in both english and french and don't mind communicating with Ankama and the french community together with a few other members of the crew. Webdesigner. You don't need to know much about coding and you will dedicate alot of time in the creating and layout of a new site together with our programmer. You also won't mind showing a creation of yours. sounded interesting, but I can't have faith in people's Competence, when they can't spell compentence or interested properly. takes 2 seconds to toss it into a word doc and spell & grammer check. <yes, I am a bitch, doesn't make it less true>
And what is foundings? (not being bitchy here.) |

I'm a bit of an 'English Nazi' when it comes to things like spelling and punctuation use, etc but I don't get shitty with people who speak English as a second language when they make an occasional typo (or genuine mistake) or something isn't quite correct grammatically. Especially when they're putting themselves out to benefit me. By the way. Capital letter in the middle of a sentence? Tut tut. Oh also... great idea youb
but to be honest this sort of thing should have took place before dofus even opened. its just general good customer service. i donr speak french but anyone can translate writing from english to french and vice verser by using freetranslation.com im all for this and i hope u succeed. lol i take it you decided to do this as your pretty much bored/fed up of the actual game. i can web design no probs but i have a social life/girlfriend/job too so i wont have the time This post has been edited by killerfurby: 4 Apr 2009, 21:23 |

(not being bitchy here.) I suspect foundings was intended to be foundation, given the remainder of the sentence in which the word was nestled. As to the issues of spelling and grammar, you are throwing far too many stones within your house of glass. @youb Good luck to you and your associates in this endeavour. |

Hey YouB, I can tell you I'd love to join project DD as the translator if there isn't someone more qualified than myself, I graduated grade 12 french immersion class in my city, so I'm legally bilingual in oth french and english, english being my first language.

Unfortuantely i do not think Ankama supports the project - a new CCM is hopefully on the way and Nabolo is trying his hardest. We'll give a player that requested an interview the possibility to ask the one we're interviewing one question. Overall we'll be looking at forums at posts that might intrest us and the community, at comments on our site, tips and also requests to see what most people are interested in knowing and which people they would like to know more about. This will be how we decide which people to interview, which questions to ask and also what to discuss! QUOTE Ankama won't show us any interest in this project since they feel this is the proper description of the work our community manager should be doing, therefor I've decided to retire entirely from the game and the community starting today. The whole purpose of this site was to improve the community but since Ankama isn't interested it just wont work.
Sorry to everyone who was involved in this project. Luckely enough we didn't spend too much time on it. I'm giving up the game, this project and I'm giving up the community. I can't keep poking a dead horse with a stick. You won't see me online on dofus or here at imps anymore. Thanks to everyone who made my 4 years as nice as they were. /youb |
