Look I've probably played longer then most of you ( 3 1/2years) and honestly I never thought of becoming a GM or a MOD by chance. Mainly because by taking on the responsibilities of becoming a mod or GM Dofus becomes no longer a game but a job and there are no perks to the job either. Once you become a mod or a GM you can not tell your friends who you are nor can you give yourself stuff or free memberships. All work and no gain. I can get a job from the dofus team if I wanted too, I am accually a very skilled programer it is just, dofus is were I find solitude from my busy day and I do not want another job.

Hello there guys and girls ^.^
I would like to start by saying i have been playing dofus for two and a half years and honestly love it
What some of you have said is true the current mods and game masters are doing a great job :3
I see a lot of people here who say "I want to be a mod......" but In my opinion i think most of you wana be mods because it is "H4x0r" or atleast thats what im fealing........ Some of you like Medgix i think would make great mods playing since the begining of dofuse well spoken and a nice guy ( See dofus wishing well ).....
While some of you seem like you just want to be Gms and mods for the perks......
I dont really know where im going with this but anyways have fun dofusing see ya around guys and girls ( and vice versa )
I would love to be a mod but currently im not 16 im in school and dont have enough free time so maybe in a couple of years wink.gif

If I may as a native finn point out that the expression "Mitä perkelettä" is almost never used. Mitä vittua on the other hand would be a much more used alternative meaning wtf. Also I'm very surprised to see some of the mentors/téré and others being able to "speak finnish".

go go guys!

You may don't know that I'm native finn as well : ) I just tried to find somekind of "nicer" version than "Mitä vittua" - So I posted "Mitä perkelettä".
And since medgix said "Mitä perkele?", I gave him the same back, with correct grammar.

GMs and Moderators are all volunteers... meaning we don't get paid. We take time out of our game playing and personal lives to try and benefit the community and the players. For those of us that are moderators and GMs, well I guess that is all the payment we need or we wouldn't be doing this.

Speak for yourself. tongue.gif Naaw, you mean well, but there are a few of us that do not require "status" to be gratified by our work.

Now that we have a Report option (no more of that screenshoting-of-posts-nonsence.)

By the way, this thread has been up since 2006 - if no one has cought on. :X

i think you guys are a little new in this game, so i'm going to say something to you, for being a mod or gm, there have to be trust not just from other gm's or mod's but from ankama you have to be a fair person not a person that just one to use the power of mod or gm to have fun, this is also something like working, ( thats one of the things i never think on becoming GM, dofus is not my work is my pleasure, "maybe a mod but never GM to much work to do i think"), so if you asrae thinking in becoming a gm or mod first gain the trust of the people and prove your good values and all that, and that you know about the game, and you can help ¨¨

I know maybe my english is not great, but is getting better happy.gif

=Wish= the best GM

You are telling the truth But how can we know whan gm's get on we can't pm tham..... Oh btw Wish=The BEST GM FOR EVER AND EVER!

Just to make things a bit clearer, Wish is a MOD, not a GM wink.gif

Heh, I actually realise that i'm not good enough to become a mod/gm.

I think people should think twice if they deserve the title of being a gm/mod.

Hmmm. Wouldn't it at least be a good idea to let players know when they can submit an application rather than just in theory saying "check back here and if theres an option for you to send in a ticket then go for it, if not we can't tell you anything about when you can submit a ticket." & I can understand if you don't know when they'll decide to let new Gm/Mods apply but it is a bit tedious having to try and check every day to see if you can submit a ticket.

When applications are open, there will be a notification on the forums. The link is still useful to people who'd like to know if they have what's required.
