Personal description
Moderator Applications are currently: CLOSED. Please wait for the next open mod recruitment drive. So, you want to be a DOFUS English Community Mod? Here's what you should know: 1. Moderator is an unpaid, voluntary position. You will not receive items, subscription time, kamas, experience, levels, real-world money, or any other form of compensation for the time you spend moderating. On the plus side, you'll have a flexible schedule, and all moderator work is done from your own computer, in the comfort of your home. 2. If you are accepted, you will not be allowed to tell anyone that you are a moderator. Being a mod means being privy to certain sensitive information, so they must have a high level of discretion. Moderators are anonymous for their own protection and to prevent possible conflicts of interest. Any moderator who intentionally reveals their player identity or any sensitive information will be removed from the team right away. 3. Having a mod position is not a direct line to the developers. Although mods are free to make suggestions if they want to, they have the same chance as any other player to get their suggestions heard or acted upon. 4. You must speak (and type) perfect English. At this time, we are not looking for moderators for any language other than English (although knowledge of other languages in addition to English is a plus). Moderators must be able to communicate quickly and easily with English-speakers from all around the world, so a high level of English mastery is an absolute requirement for potential mods. Any application written in txt tlk will be rejected automatically! 5. All mods must be 18 years or older. No disrespect to any one under the age of 18, but we've tried having younger mods in the past, and it just hasn't worked out. If you're not 18 yet and you still want to be a mod, now's the time to start working on community projects that will look good on your moderator application when you reach 18! 6. All mods must have a spotless record in game and on the forums. By this, we mean that you must have zero official sanctions on your account. Mods are held to the highest level of accountability in their game behavior, and their accounts will be regularly monitored by Ankama, so it is absolutely vital that they be upstanding citizens of our virtual community. This is non-negotiable, and we will check. 7. You must be able to demonstrate patience, consideration of others, respectfulness, objectiveness, and a strong desire to help others, even if they are not appreciative. Being a mod means being one of the best of the best. A mod needs the maturity to shrug off unkind comments and the patience to answer the same questions over and over again. It's a difficult task, be sure you're up for it before you apply. 8. You should already have a firm grasp of DOFUS as well as the game rules, support procedures, and the roles of a Moderator, GM, and admin. This should go without saying; as a moderator, you'll be asked hundreds of questions about DOFUS every day and you need to be ready to answer them accurately. The mod application will test your knowledge of the role of moderators, the game and of our game rules and support procedures. Learn them, know them, love them! If you meet all of these conditions and you still want to apply for a moderator position, here's what you need to do next: Send the following information to this account (EnglishModApplications) in an Ankabox message. (Yes, knowing how to send an Ankabox message is part of the mod application process) Real Name: Real Age: Country of residence: Main Ankama Account: Main Dofus Server: Hours of the week you could spend modding (on average): And please answer the following question: Why do you want to be a moderator? Someone will review your message, and if you meet the necessary criteria, you will receive a follow-up message with the next part of the application (this may take some time, usually we receive a very high volume of initial applications). If, for any reason, you don't make it through to the second stage of the application, please remember that you can apply again during the next open moderator application period. Thanks for reading, and good luck! Recent forum activity
