honestly, the window wasn't open long enough for me to take part in it...same for the beta key giveaway at tentonhammer...was for premium members, but the ankama ad didn't say that...yay to me for more junk I don't need...oh well, guess there's always the december launch for me dry.gif

The TenTonHammer giveaway only needed an email address (I tested it before it was posted!), but they did run out of keys quite quickly. I hope you'll be able to make the next open beta session. =)

How did you all feel about the open beta test? The developers really want to know how everyone liked it (or disliked it)!

  • Spells’ range and area of effect can now be viewed when it is not your turn. Selecting a spell when it is not your turn does not cause it to become unselected when it is your turn. • Many of the inventory icons have been rebuilt to correct some missing icons.

This Wednesday November 4th, starting at 14:30 DUT, it will not be necessary to have an account that has been authorized with a beta key to connect to the DOFUS 2.0 test server: all currently subscribed players can use it!

The server will remain opened for exactly five hours, and when that time is up, the server will once again be locked to those without 2.0 Beta Keys.

You can download the DOFUS 2.0 beta client ahead of time at following address: download.dofus.com/dofus2/win/
Download client for Mac: http://download.dofus.com/dofus2/mac/
Download client for Linux: http://download.dofus.com/dofus2/linux/

Absolutely do not miss this chance, they need your presence!

This operation will allow us to test the resillance of the servers against heavy traffic to optimize its performace! We may run this test several times if neccessary.

The class sets are going to undergo a resynchronization soon. Some of these items don't minic proper colors, and others aren't taking any colors.

We will make sure that the colors of the class sets remain as close as possible to what is available in version 1.29. Unfortunately, some will not be able to be improved across the board. For example, the Hat Ariutokinabot (Iop class set hat) will minic the color of the cross on the Iop's tunic just as it did in in 1.29, but it will not take the color of an Osamodas's tunic.

Priority will be given to the class that the set is intended for.

You've wondered about it, you've asked about it, but now, it's finally fixed!

Every poster should now have their own row of glossy little DOFUS egg icons to show their rank and dedication to the forums! The more you participate and discuss, the more icons you'll collect. Don't be afraid to ask questions or give good advice to others, but please don't spam!

While we're discussing the forums, what else would you like to see when you visit? I'd love to hear your opinions!

The color problems with Chameleon Dragoturkeys was recent corrected.

Now, instead of taking the colors of hair and skin, these Dragoturkeys will now only take the colors of clothing.

The bug that caused these Dragoturkeys to display grey when a player had not chosen a color for a particular part of their character was also corrected. Chameleon Dragoturkeys will now correctly take on the default color of a character (for example, if you decide not to change the red cross on an Iop's tunic, your Dragoturkey will correctly display red streaks instead of grey streaks).

The colors which appear on your Chameleon Dragoturkey are the last three in the character creation interface.

These modifications will become active on the game after the next patch.

So we now have a new community manager, but he (or she?) really hasn't done anything yet now has he (or she?)? Will the situation change or will this new CM just be sipping coffee and laughing at us trolls.

I don't drink coffee. wink.gif

To address some of the other concerns posted on this thread - I'm not a temp. I was hired to be the English CCM for the International and UK communities. I came here all the way from North America to have a long-term career, not for a few months work!

When Kaoly returns, Ankama will decide how to split our duties. There is more than enough work for two people in the English community, so have no fear that we'll run out of things to do. =)

I'd love to hear more about what the players would like to focus on. There's already several projects that I have in my sights (Mentors, the forums, Mods, the possibility of our own Zone 48, and so on) that are long-term jobs, and I've had lots of discussions with the mods about other hot spots that need immediate attention.

There's some things that Ankama wants me to do as well - make sure that the website news is up to date, posting English articles to the devblogs, keeping the International community current on what's going on in game development, reporting on what the International community wants, creating new events for you, and so on.

All that to say... if you can think of something that our community needs, let me know!

Al Howlin’s blight has released its grip on the land. The remaining few infected creatures are fading away like smoke and the healthy Gobballs and Tofus are returning. One can always hear the echoes of Al Howlin’s laughter, but it seems to be more distant, drifting towards some unknown destination.

Weary adventurers can return their Pumpkwins to their closets. The land is safe. For now…

Mini Wakfu:
  • Krtek’s mine is now under the supervision of Dark Miners. The monsters in the first room can’t be tackled as a group. No ally can join the fight.

Pets:
  • The Enhancement Potion: Piwin now works correctly on Pink Piwins and Purple Piwins. Pink Piwins and Purple Piwins that gained extra bonuses before this correction will no longer be able to benefit from their new bonus. We’re working on fixing this problem.

Challenges:
  • The challenge “Low levels first!” is available again.

Combat:
  • Critical states that affect some spells being cast are now correctly taken into account (for example, it’s no longer possible to dodge certain states if you’re being carried by a Pandawa).

The Enhancement Potion:
  • Piwin now works correctly on Pink Piwins and Purple Piwins. Pink Piwins and Purple Piwins that have gained bonuses before this correction will no longer be able to benefit from their new bonus, so they must be given another Enhancement Potion: Piwin for their bonuses to be updated.

The first contest should be starting in about an hour!
