Same problem I had with Xelor...
I love Fecas as well as Xelors, but the same problem is happening. Whenever I put on a shield or protective spell, the monster will just skip his turn or run away. Also, when i put on Rebound on Feca or that other reflective spell for Xelor, the monster just won't attack you, so what is the point of the spell? i'm REALLY REALLY ANGRY ANKAMA RIGHT NOW

Didn't I see this thread yesterday in the character class section? Did the mod move it here by accident or is this a new one?

So, what is the problem if a monster has high AI? You want to get attacked just to show off your shields? :/ That's just... lame. I'd say it's a good thing that mobs just skip turn, leaving you with bunch of possibilities to manipulate the field

Yep, that's just it, new AI's, they think like you would"WTF would be the point in purposely getting hit?"
On another note, is it all that bad? i mean they skip their turn, essentially YOU GET A FREE TURN. Maybe it's MY logic, but that doesn't seem to be all that bad, albeit it defeats the purpose of making a spell that rebounds spells, but still! |

You have to realize that not getting attacked during fights makes them extremely boring. As of right now, I am without a guild or anyone to group with so that leaves me just soloing. Doing the same thing over and over without a challenge gets old really fast. This post has been edited by NateMosiman: 5 Nov 2009, 14:05 |

They do their job in protecting me from damage and I do use them for that, but that is only half of what they are meant to do. The purpose of Spell Rebound (When did we get distracted onto the topic of shields?) is to reflect damage from spells /if/ the caster is stupid enough to cast them on you when it's active. I don't really see what else they're meant to do. You have to realize that not getting attacked during fights makes them extremely boring. As of right now, I am without a guild or anyone to group with so that leaves me just soloing. Doing the same thing over and over without a challenge gets old really fast. So... A monster attacking you and having its damage reflected makes things more difficult how? |

I don't really see what else they're meant to do. I was talking about Counter and Blinding protection. Their purpose, if I'm not mistaken, is to reflect some damage(not 100% like spell rebound). So... A monster attacking you and having its damage reflected makes things more difficult how? I might be able to reflect damage, but I cannot reflect 100% of it unless I use both spells at once which I think is a waste. If I'm not attacked then I don't lose any life at all, but if I am attacked while I am using Counter or BP then I still take most of the damage. I would understand it more if they only knew when I wouldn't be hurt by their attack and decided to pass. If they pass on every turn then the fights get boring. The only exception I can think of to that is someone using a full wisdom Xelor alt for AP raping.. and even then, it's still better to hybrid wisdom with something else. |

I was talking about Counter and Blinding protection. Their purpose, if I'm not mistaken, is to reflect some damage(not 100% like spell rebound). Ah. Misinterpretation on my part then. I apologise. I think if an insignificant amount of damage gets through, they won't bother. Otherwise, in my experience, they hammer away. Although some of the lower-leveled monsters do attack me when I have BP/Counter up. |
