Class forums?
We've been changing the International forums this week to make them easier for everyone to use by creating forums for each International server. Should we do the same thing with the Character Class forums?

This is a good idea. At the moment with every class being discussed in the same forum section is seems a bit clammered together. With a different section for each class you can keep track of current discussions going on for individual classes, help nullify identical threads (That are asking the same questions), and would all around be more organized. Say I wanted to find a discussion over the Cra class. I would know right where to find one, rather than search through countless posts that are about other classes.

I don't think the forum activity really supports the need for individual forums (that's basically splitting activity across 12-13 subforums). The French forums have a lot more traffic so I would say yes, if we were them, but we're not.
A "general" class forum would be needed, for every "which class should I play?" or "8 X vs 8 Y" thread. I think there might be more of a need for a "PvP" subforum of the "Character Class" forum, rather than splitting it along lines of Class. This post has been edited by GoldfishGod: 6 Nov 2009, 18:27 |

I've voted yes to both I would like individual class forums because it would make it easier for newer players to find help with a particular class and a general forum would be good for exactly what goldfish said.

I'm not sure what took so long for the English forum on dofus to come up with this but I say yes so finding a certain thread would be way much easier. If you guys don't know what Izmar is talking about try the French Forum or Wakfu forum on classes you will understand what Izmar is talking about.

Wakfu forum on classes you will understand what Izmar is talking about. The EN Wakfu forum is an example of why this probably isn't needed with lower activity. There're roughly one or two "active" threads per sub-forum, the rest of the threads haven't been touched in weeks~months. |

Yes, each class should have diferent foruns. That avoid repetitive topics. For example, if you look for the lats topics about Sram, they all are about equipment for str build.

I also say yes to first one, but no to second as it would create confusion amongst people.

I think that the individual forums make everything much more organized, i also voted to keep the 'all class forum' to things like pvp questions and stuff.

We also should have a forum with PvP and PvM, many people complain about other classes being OP or having/seeking strategies, and people complain about the AI and other stuff of monsters

Why do we need individual class forums? Just make permanently up threads in the character classes section.
ex. You go into the character class forum section. On the bottom/top/middle (wherever) on the page and click on a link that leads you to an area to talk about each different class. There shouldn't be separate forums for them. There should be separate sub-sactions of the character class forum, that keeps the idea, yet keeps it 1 easy trip away from the major internationa forum. I'm hoping that this would keep the bustle down to a minimum, and if you advertize it on a devblog or the main section's front page and give a link, people will find it and post. ^^(look at the subforums in the community section, a link like that to the character class threads/supsections would be awesome) This post has been edited by rofllolboy: 14 Nov 2009, 22:08 |

Each class can have several builds and discussing all of them in one thread can be hard.
Also high level players asking an advice for equips, strategies, etc. wouldn't be happy with the not-so-experienced players trying to "help". Class forums could be nice, I think. |

Kinda funny that the first poll has 1 yes and 2 no with the 2nd one having 1 yes and 3 no options. Anyway I voted yes for both.

Kinda funny that the first poll has 1 yes and 2 no with the 2nd one having 1 yes and 3 no options. Anyway I voted yes for both. Indifference doesn't equate to no. It is the option selected when the respondent doesn't care one way or the other. Anyway, it's nice to see some interest on Ankama's part to develop the forum. |
