There are several reasons for this to happen, but they all boil down to two things:
  • The matchmaking system doesn't care about level, only about rating
  • You are not supposed to win all your matches, meaning the matchmaking might give you a match he knows you're going to lose, especially if you've been winning a lot

So it might be a case of you being too good for your own good.

I'm a little bit late to the party, but I'll try and walk you through what happened, as far as I understand it (and it was explained to me by developers, and I can tell you from experience that developers have their own language for everything, and it's better not to ask questions because it only gets you into trouble).

Around 20:30 (Paris Time) yesterday, the login server for the Eratz and Henual servers froze. The issue was wrongly identified at first, as the servers themselves being frozen. Unfortunately, once our astreinte team tried to fix that issue, things got not exactly worse, but certainly not better. In the end, our in-house server specialist correctly identified the issue, fixed it, and in order to restart the servers from a clean state, rolled them back to the latest data save before the incident: 16:01 (Paris Time) for Eratz and 16:11 (Paris Time) for Henual. The gifts and other Emporium purchases done after that but before the issue occurred were then given back, and the servers are operational again.

I'll be happy to answer any question I can, but afraid I won't be able to answer that many questions.

The game servers have been updated on 04/25/17. Here is a list of the modifications:

Kolossium:


  • The system that sets up the ratings in 1v1 ISK is modified: an average is now drawn between the default rating (calculated depending on the character's level) and the character's 3v3 solo mode rating.
  • The ratings, deviation, and volatility ratings are reset for all characters as far as 1v1 ISK is concerned. We are doing this modification because dysfunctions in the matchmaking system triggered the apparition of abnormally high ratings.
  • Victory and defeat probabilities are correctly estimated by the matchmaking system when a fight between two characters of the same class is evaluated. This modification should fix issues causing fights with 2 characters from the same class but with an abnormally high rating difference occur. This modification should fix issues with abnormally high ratings for characters that only encountered characters from the same class. This modification should also reduce the overall odds of getting a fight between 2 identical classes.
  • The maximum level disparity restrictions between 2 characters in the 1v1 ISK are removed. This restrictions were too limiting in regards to the number of available opponents in 1v1 ISK in situations where classes have very high or very low victory ratings against other classes.
  • The Kama and Kolossokens won in 1v1 ISK can now be up to twice the amount won by characters that have a default rating (the same restriction was already in effect for experience gains in 1v1 ISK). This modification allows us to make sure that the winnings in 1v1 ISK are not disproportionate when the system encounters trouble trying to compute the ratings and some characters have a rating that is abnormal when considering their level. This restriction on the maximum amount of kamas and Kolossokens could change when the workings of the 1v1 ISK stabilizes.
  • The 1v1 matchmaking no longer makes greatly unbalanced (in terms of rating and level) fights for no good reason. This behaviour was linked a class auto-balancing issue.


We wish to remind you all that the point of the ISK is to offer fights that you have equal odds of winning or losing. Greatly optimizing your characters is supposed to force the system into offering fights against characters that might be more powerful than average, but should not guarantee a victory ratio above 50%.

The 1v1 ISK is still in its experimental phase, and we reserve the right to reset at any time and without prior notice the rating values of the characters, should we notice something wrong going on with said rating values, or should significant changes made to the 1v1 ISK warrant a reset of the ratings.

To transfer tomorrow, you would have had to have purchased your server transfer before yesterday anyway, as server transfers must be purchased before 23:59 (Paris Time) on Sundays to take place on the next Tuesday (during Weekly Maintenance).

"Padgref" is also the French name of "Nomarrow". These are the names the developers use, so we've grown accustomed to using them when discussing the server merger these past few weeks, at least internally.

That said, I love all of you too, but sadly, not in a romantic way. As IAMONEOFAKIND remarked, I have no time for romance. Maybe if I were a clumsy 30-something in a British rom-com, romance would make time to find me, but alas, Colin Firth and I are not meant to be.

These are items that let you summon sidekicks into battle.

Sidekicks are friends who fight by your side, obeying your every command, making the game a bit easier to apprehend as a solo player. You can find more information about them here.

The best would be for you to choose one who can complement your playstyle the best, one who could do what you yourself cannot but need to. If you've played a little already, that shouldn't be to hard to figure out. You can find all the information you need to know about individual sidekicks here.

Since all the fees from putting things in Markets or Merchant Spots will be reimbursed, there is no reason to waive the fees to put the items back, as it will cost you nothing in the end.

Idols are a concept that has been included in Update 2.29. They let you modify the parameters of a fight in order to tailor the risk/reward ratio to your liking.

A patch for the DOFUS client has been deployed. Here is a list of the modifications:

  • The filter that regulates which words are forbidden in the chat interface no longer filters out words that cannot be used for character names (Dofus, Ankama, etc).
  • The filter that regulates which words are forbidden in the chat interface now has a coherent and consistent behaviour when lower case or upper case are being used.

The Merchant Mode is only available to subscribers, true.
