Moderator Applications are open!
They're majestic... they're mysterious... they're magnanimous... they're MODERATORS! And if you have ever entertained the idea of joining the most demanding guild in the game, now's your chance to try out! We are currently looking to add somewhere between 5 to 8 new volunteer moderators to our English community team. Instructions for how to apply can be found on our new English Mod Applications profile!
Be aware, Moderator is not a position for everyone! Our mod application process is extremely demanding, and only the most dedicated, the most knowledgeable, and the most mature should apply. If you match those criteria, we're looking forward to meeting you! Don't delay, because open moderator applications will close at the end of Thursday, January 26, 2012 (6:00 PM GMT+1).

I wonder when will Ankama pay for professional moderators. Cost-cutting ain't gonna cut it.

Dutch community is small enough to only have a few moderators I'd think.

Erg, the whole 18 part is a bit of a blow. I think I'd be pretty good since I've been playing since Rushu beta and try to be as helpful as possible in game. Never mind, will just have to wait!

I tried sending my Application to the name that they said to send it to but it wont send because when I go to the next line the name disappears!

This mod thing is good and all ( I HATE THE 18 PART O3O ) but what happens if people help there mates and get alotta power banding people for no reasons, what would happen then you may band them etc and this would be a waste of time? Plus what if there mates go on there account and start's doing some dumb crap?

I think I remember hearing once that mods only moderate servers they do not play on.
And seriously, if you give out your moderator acc info to a friend, you deserve to be banned to all eternity. XD |

Indeed Frunupulax.
Our moderator accounts are completely separate from our player accounts and if we EVER gave that information out (sharing is against the rules to begin with) we would not only lose our moderator job, we would be banned from the game entirely. |

I hope they wont be like the current mods I've met.
getting a red text warning for 'harassment' over one statement refusing to leech a lower level isn't my ideal for proper moderation. nuf said. Announcing that I've applied doesn't mean I will or have been accepted into the moderating team, though, does it? If it does, then oh well, guess I have no chance. I think it's safe to say that multiple hundreds of applications will be sent in, as it said it would take a while to get to them all, so saying "Oh I applied!" shouldn't, at least in my opinion, eliminate said person from getting one of the positions. I have tried to sent my application but the EnglishModApplications in the To: Bar wont stay when i switch line to the subject. Eh i might be having a blonde moment i dont know hah.

Read back in the posts and you got some help: You need to end with space for the name to stay in the To: line.

hi there,
Questions happen to appear in my mind while i read all the information on becoming a MOD. First, Does the Rosal server got enough MOD's already? As i am only active on that server. I do speak English and Dutch, but i read that there already is a 2nd dutch MOD. I do have more accounts, so is it needed to add all those accounts on the form or only one of them, the one you or I want to become a MOD on? I am looking forward on a reply from anyone. You don't choose the server you MOD on, thats up to Izmar. One application / player thats all thats needed (she doesn't need to know all your alt accounts). Our mod's are not the accounts we play the game on, they are totaly different.

I've always wondered how good of a Moderator I'd make. But, sadly, I'm three months away from turning 18.
(You should change the part where it says "over 16" on the Ankama Support Site). However, I won't sweat it. It'll give me more time to prepare for the next time the applications open and with my frequent breaks which last up to a couple of months... I doubt I'd be the best Moderator on your team. Still, good luck to everyone else!  |
